Reliable and dependable.
Great safe for an oversized nightstand or chest of drawers, would also work great for an under the bed setup. The safe itself is dependable; with a fast open and great features including tactile feedback for the buttons, proximity sensors will light up the keys when your hand hovers over them. Multiple ways to access the safe and so far all of them seem to be a reliable open. The remote will work up to about 5-6 feet away. My only minor gripe is that the light turns off a bit quickly after the safe pops open and there is no way to turn it back on or an option to extend its duration. Easy to program and operate. This is a great safe for a primary weapon for home defense.

Very Pleased. Quality Vault
Packaging very professional, vault is extremely well protected. The vault feels and looks like a quality product. It’s not flimsy or lightweight. Instructions are clear and logical. Programming was easy once I realized how the programming button worked (lift the plastic cover that shields the button). The vault fits my vp9 and vp9sk just fine. I am going to add foam to prevent movement within safe.Quality product. Note: you CAN disable sound, lights, and motion detection/accelerometer functions.

Fast access, high quality, recommended
Excellent product all the way around. Well built, packaging was beyond what I expected. Nice extra features like Audible alarms for when it gets tampered with. App to see history of when it’s been opened.Holds Glock 21 Gen 4 with three clips and some extra room for other things.Interior lighting is nice as well.

Excellent gun safe
A little on the expensive side, but the quality and features can’t be beaten. Fits my two sub compact hand guns and several magazines for each. Safe is solid and durable. The keypad is responsive and illuminated for quick access even in the dark. Very happy with my purchase.

Nice, affordable safe
I bought this safe to keep my toddler daughter away from my home defense gun. It seems to fit the bill nicely. The eight-digit keypad means millions of combinations (you can have repeated digits), and it seems well made. You can tether it to a fixed object using an included cable, or you can secure it to the floor or wall with pre-drilled mounting holes. One nice feature about this safe is that you can leave it plugged into the wall, to keep the battery fully charged. It uses a rechargeable lithium battery which is very easy to replace. It is important to know that the Bluetooth features for this safe are not at all secure; just run a web search to learn more. I'll knock off one star for that; a product should not ship with badly broken features. However, it is easy to disable Bluetooth fully. For me, this was a non-issue because I did not plan to use the key fob or app. I just wanted a good keypad safe.As far as physical attack resilience goes, Vaultek has set itself apart from some of its peers by customer support and being willing to address its own design flaws. Vaultek's first couple of safe models (not this model) could be easily defeated by using metal shims, paperclips, etc. When these flaws were made public by a consultant, Vaultek shipped kits to its customers which addressed the flaws. For the development of their newer safes, they hired the same consultant to review their design and make sure it was resilient.Another nice thing about this safe is that the user manual is very well written. All of the features are explained very well, which I appreciate since this is being sold as a critical safety device. There is another version of this safe which has a fingerprint scanner and is much more expensive. In my opinion, this safe is the better value. I can see a fingerprint scanner being difficult to use when you are in a stressed situation, and potentially unreliable since it is such a delicate device. I think a person is better off just learning to type in a key sequence quickly. I'm sure some will disagree, but that is my two cents. All in all, I have no major complaints about this safe. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple keypad safe.

That it was secure and easy to access when all is set up.
Love it! I feel more secure knowing I can put my tools inside and be able to retrieve them right away. Heavy box but it feels like a vault not a metal box. I recommend it. I already did to my friends and fam.

Best nightstand safe available
Package was delivered pretty beat up and half opened, but contents were undamaged. The safe is considerably heavier than comparable options.Pros:Programming the code,Bluetooth app, and keyfob took less than 10minutes and was very simple. The safe seems very well constructed and looks very aesthetically pleasing. It pops open pretty fast once you type in your code.Cons:The interior LED seems somewhat dim.

uses unprotected Li-ion batteries. keypad is finnicky
keypad is finnicky. you have to hover your fingers over the buttons for a second until the buttons light up, then you can press the buttons. you cant just start pressing buttons right away or it wont open, and then you have to wait a few seconds to reenter the code. SO frustrating and aggravating. I cant tell you how many times this has resulted in delays opening my safe - not a good thing if you mees access to your firearm right away. much prefer my hornady rfid safe, have a tag on my watchband which is always on me. didnt bother buying a vaultek model with a fingerprint reader bc i dont trust those to work 100% of the time. I have a lot of experience with fingerprint readers at work and they are not that reliable. the biggest issue I have is the battery slot is too small for protected 18650s. the included battery barely worked after 3 years and vaultek replacements were backordered. would have preferred to use one of the many protected 18650s I already have for flashlights but they dont fit. bought a panasonic 3400mah unprotected cell from elsewhere and that fits. making a product that only fits unprotected Li-ion cells is absurd and a potential safety hazard. I cannot recommend these safes to anyone and will never purchase a vaultek again.
