My central AC broke in my apartment in the middle of a heatwave. It was going to take a little bit for the landlord/HVAC people to fix it so I was in need of something to make my apartment bearable. This little unit works great and has exceeded my expectations. My apartment is approximately 1000 square feet and it does a great job of keeping my living area nice and cool and also provides some relief to my bedroom if I keep the door open. I have had it almost constantly running for the past two weeks and I have had no issues. The only downside is that the window plate does not fit my window. Without the extender, it's too short, but if I add the extender, its too long for the window so I had to MacGyver a piece of cardboard and some gaff tape to to cover the one area. The manual says you can cut the window plate, but I have not attempted to do that. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase especially for the price.

Our AC went out for 3 weeks! YIKES! It was hot, someone recommended a portable AC, so we checked around & compared BTU's & pricing. Seems Amazon offered the best in both! They kept us cool until our new AC was installed.

We bought this for our camper to help our main unit keep up in the summer months, and it raised the temperature instead of lowering it. I will be buying the dual hose unit and getting returning this one.

its a great product dont get me wrong it is i was very happy at first then it stopped working, i bought this for our bedroom upstairs for the weekends because it can get hot upstairs. it worked great the first then the second weekend it just stopped blowing cold air, so we waited until Sunday to see if it would blow cold and it didnt so we opted to return it. I did watch videos on YouTube to see what the issue would be, i saw a few and read some reviews and saw that people was having the same issue not from this seller but in general so we just returned it but great product nonetheless.
