I have had other egg slicers, and have been disappointed even by some big name brands. The cutting wires are usually thin and end up bending and breaking within a year at most This slicer is heavy duty. You can tell right away as it has some"heft" to it right out of the box. I am sure that it will last a good long while

I have tried quite a few of these little gadgets since my granddaughter got a hold of my original one and broke all the tiny cutting wires, or fishing string, I think that's what there made of. This one is the sturdiest and cuts eggs really clean. That's all I use it for is hardboiled eggs. Don't let kids play with it and hand wash it. Dishwashers are not good for them.

Like it but the lines are very flimsy

My dad makes ridiculous amounts of egg salad, he always has a huge container made every few days, and complained about egg slicers falling apart. So I got him this one as a gift and have waited quite some time before writing the review to make sure it held up. It has.
