Good price, decent espresso (with work), but only average amount of crema for a "crema espresso"
To preface, I drink a half-decent amount of espresso. I usually have fresh-roasted beans from specialty roasters to have a variety of flavors, but I try to keep a bag of "cheap" beans around for when I run out. These Amazon Fresh beans were on sale, so I ordered a bag. The "use by" is about 9 months away, with no roast date... so these are probably not very fresh, but good enough.I saw a bunch of reviews saying that these beans don't make espresso. I'm happy to report that this is not true. I have been able to get decent espresso from these beans. But, it is not that easy. My first attempts with a "typical" starting recipe matched what other people have reported... very fast flow, lots of channeling, virtually no crema, kind of disappointing flavor, etc.In the end, I need to use a higher dose, and a *very* fine grind... a good deal finer than any other bean I've used. I have a pretty decent manual grinder, and wow, my arm tired after making this. If you have a cheaper grinder, I can easily believe it won't be capable of grinding fine enough. After figuring these beans out, I have to say, it's decent, perfectly serviceable espresso. There is an "average" amount of crema on my shots... so to me, the "crema espresso" in the name is a little misleading. It doesn't really win any awards, but the flavor is what I would call "comfort espresso", mostly dark roast with a little bit of a medium roast finish, and I can certainly enjoy this coffee.I would order it again, but just as a coffee to keep on hand as a cheap backup to the fresh stuff I get elsewhere. Overall, for the price, it is quite decent.

tasteless.
I am very disappointed with this "Crema Expresso" coffee. I bought the beans, which I thought would ADDflavor, but nope. These beans remind me of a well known subscription that would give you a coffee maker and such and all you had to do was buy 3 bags of their lousy coffee. This tastes like the same company but it's Amazon. I am surprised that Amazon would sell such a poor quality product. I love Amazon's quality, but this one truly missed the mark. FLAVORLESS.

Good stuff. Good value.
I used to spend a lot of money every couple of weeks on pounds of 'artisan' beans, but I discovered that I couldn't really taste the difference between pricey beans and less expensive beans. I'm very happy with the Amazon medium roast.

You get what you paid for.
I would skip these beans if you’re thinking about using them in your espresso machine. They lack crema and have very little aroma. While the coffee was smooth it lacked any depth in the flavor, leaving me disappointed with my morning coffee.

More like dark roast
Tasted more like dark roast than medium roast. Beans had no aroma when opening the bag. Very little body, but strong roasted/burnt flavors despite trying to dial it in with multiple grinds and weights. Seemed very caffeinated as well-- brought it to the office because I wasn't a fan, and multiple mentioned that they felt unusually jittery from it. Good price, but wouldn't buy again.

Incredible flavor and aroma!
I hate to write a positive review of this stuff, because it's currently sold-out, and the food reviews will only make it more popular. But these beans are great. First of all, they were very fresh. They seemed to have been roasted within a month of us receiving them. WOW, they smell amazing. Vanilla, chocolate, and spice. The taste is amazing using our Philips Automatic Espresso machine. Tastes perfect with half and half frothed in an Aeroccino3.We've tried at least 15-20 other beans in our machine, including Lavazza, Pete's, Kicking Horse, and we think these are the best, especially for the price.
