ESV Journaling Study Bible (TruTone, Brown/Chestnut, Timeless Design): Holy Bible, English Standard Version

One of the easiest to read study bibles I have used. Plenty of journaling space, the notes at the bottom of each page are helpful and still big enough to read. The book itself will lay flat open while reading which makes journaling into it even easier. Not sure you'll find anything too much better for under $80.

I absolutely love this Bible. I love the fact that it’s a journaling STUDY BIBLE with lists of notes. It took me a while to finally find this combination and I’m so glad I kept searching. I don’t have an issue with the font because it’s big enough for me to see and read. The pages are thin but now days every Bible has thin pages. Every time I read a rating it’s the same thing. Thin pages you can see the words on the other side. If you don’t want a Bible with these “issues” look at all the pics and read the reviews before you buy it. Enough with giving a low rating for thin pages, stop complaining about highlighters and pens bleeding through and use colored pencils and gel highlighters. Problem solved!!!! My goodness are people ever happy and satisfied? It’s a great Bible and I love it!!!!

This Bible has all the features I was looking for! The text size is a little small, but that’s a small trade off for having a study Bible that also includes a 2” ruled margin. I have found that the Mr. pen fine liners work best on these to minimize bleed through or ghosting. There are plenty of pages in the back that work great for testing pens. I like the inclusion of book summaries at the beginning of each book, as it helps you to see the context of the book before you read it—also the illustrations and maps within the relevant pages so you don’t have to flip back and forth from the back of the Bible. The imitation leather cover is very soft and it makes the Bible lay flat when you open it.

One of the most beautiful bibles I own. I’ve always wanted the ESV version and the beautiful brown cover is absolutely stunning. There’s plenty of room to journal and I love the commentary at the bottom. It’s my go to bible at the moment as I read through the bible recap. Great price too!

This is the best Bible if you’re new to Christianity! Very insightful and breaks it down into an easy and understandable to learn the Bible. Highly recommend for everyone!

Very good study Bible. Has notes, a section to write your own notes, and plenty of background information.

I was hesitant to make this purchase due to the reviews about small print. It is no smaller than my other bibles, and with reading glasses is a cinch! This is a great go-to bible that meets almost all my needs. I wanted one bible (not spiral bound parts of it), objective study notes with limited sermon-style footnotes, along with journal margins. The study materials are amazing! It has maps and timelines in front of each book and lots of diagrams for the complicated concepts like the layout of Jerusalem in different time periods. The pages are thin and you can see ink through it, but not significantly enough to prevent me from using it, especially when I write on the reverse side. My highlighter does not show through at all. My only complaint is that it doesn't have red letter ink for Jesus' words. But it's a small price to pay to have everything else. If you're looking for the bible that has almost everything you could possibly want, this is it.

I’m loving my new bible! I’m one that loves to mark up her bible and use it over and over until the pages fall apart. This one is holding up, but the footnotes and the spaces to write notes are super helpful and convenient. I’m loving the translation and the overall presentation of this bible. Great pick!

absolutely love my study Bible! the room in the margins to take notes removes my need to write in the middle of the text, and the study portion is such a useful tool! this Bible is beautiful to look at, and it stays open as well, the pages don’t flip over when they’re not supposed to! highly recommend this Bible if you are looking for a study Bible with room to jot notes and thoughts as well!!

Die ESV Study Bible ist schon seit Längerem eine zuverlässige Studienbibel. Sie bietet ausführliche Kommentare aus reformiert-theologischer Perspektive, äußerst hilfreiche Karten sowie gut geschriebene Einleitungen und Artikel. Die Journaling Bible-Version hebt das Bibelstudium auf ein noch höheres Niveau. Dank der breiten Ränder gibt es ausreichend Platz für eigene Notizen. Die Hilfslinien sorgen zudem dafür, dass die Notizen ordentlich und sauber geschrieben sind. Ich hatte diese Bibel auch in der Lederausführung für meine Frau gekauft, wollte für mich selbst jedoch eine günstigere Variante. Nachdem ich zunächst die schwarze Hardcover-Version bestellt hatte, entschied ich mich schließlich doch für diese Trutone-Ausgabe mit flexiblem Einband, da sie langlebiger wirkt. Aus diesem Grund wird für dieses Modell auch eine lebenslange Garantie angeboten. Diese Trutone-Version fühlt sich robust an und sieht dabei sehr edel aus. Ich bin wirklich sehr zufrieden damit!

Each book begins with a clear introduction of where it is based, who wrote it, its meaning and other information. It really is a lot of information. The text is clear and easy to read and there is space on each page in the margins to make notes. This has been such a useful resource for me and has made studying and understanding the bible an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend if you want to deepen your understanding of the bible.
