We have an issue with a raccoon family who comes through our yard almost every night.. I really wouldn't mind, except they dismantle the fountain and scatter the pieces around the lawn, chew the drip irrigation system into shreds, and insist on using the roof of my neighbors shed (which is in plain view from our yard) as their toilet of choice. Nothing quite a unappetizing as trying to eat your dinner on the back deck starting and a steaming pile of raccoon cr*p.Nothing has deterred these guys so far - bright lights don't seem to faze them. So, we figured we'd give this a shot - frankly, I was skeptical. But 10 days in, they really do seem to be doing the job. No midnight visitors have been shredding my drip system since.I know they work because we have a cat, and I usually go out and turn off the repellers before we let him out in the morning (he likes to sniff the air and explore the backyard a little). One morning I forget to get to them before he went outside and sure enough, one triggered - the cat looked at it with immediate alarm and quickly ran back in the house.Which brings me to my only complaint - the "mode selection as power button" is a bit awkward. I'd love it if they had a separate on / off switch which wasn't combined with the mode selector, so I could wander out, flip the switch to off for the day, and let the cat have the backyard in piece while I go make my morning coffee.

I use this to deter rabbits or any other critters from munching on strawberries, raspberries, and any other vegetation near by. It's supports itself very well in the ground and hasn't tipped over from critters or storms. It holds it's charge and will work at night even with partial sun.It has a large range of intensity as well as many options for flashes, sounds, and beeps. Some are a high pitch sound that I can hear at age 41 (as expected, older people usually don't hear it go off). I'd recommend rotating that sound/flash dial everyday or every other day. When I didn't, the critters became use to the sound as non-threatening. I've used this in conjunction with a homemade cayenne pepper mixture spray. I think both are working to ward off any critters. My chewed up vegetable plants (to the ground) are starting to come back and new leaves are forming.

I was going to call a pest control company but found these and gave them a try. The strobe feature made the raccoons living under my back stairs leave after one night. Worked perfect for me.

These worked just as described. We have a deer problem, and these repellers saved our crops and flowers. Thanks again.

We put two up because the reckons think our backyard is their toilet. Which rightfully so, but I want to deter them since I don’t enjoy picking up their poop daily. This seems to do the trick, thankfully!! We haven’t seen any where we’ve placed these but now need to order a few more for other spots. The one advise if give us make sure where you’ve placed them gets quite a bit of full Sun since they are recharged by the sunlight. One of ours was not working and we realized it wasn’t in the sun much of the day.

We have problems with deer and rabbits eating our asparagus and strawberry plants. Since putting these up in those plant areas, we have had no further inroads on the strawberry plants nor on the asparagus plants. It seems that the combination of the flashing lights and the irritating sound really works.Someone else mentioned that the sound is loud and audible. It's funny, but I have high-frequency loss from the military, but I can hear the repeller when I walk by it. On the other hand, my wife (who has no known hearing loss) does NOT hear the sound! I think it must be specific to the individual as to whether or not they have the ability to hear the repeller sound. But even though I do hear it, it goes away when I walk away from the area where the repellers are installed, so it's not an issue.All in all, definitely a 5-star product!

Solar didn't work. Inconsistent signals. If manually charge, they may work temporarily. I returned.

Last year I had trouble with raccoons eating my melons and cantaloupe. This year I was determined to win the battle. After much research, this looked like the easiest, cheapest and cleanest solution as opposed to spreading cut hair, spraying urine, building fences, etcSo far so good! I have a garden full of untouched harvest. And to prove even more that the solar repeller is doing it’s job, I have already had a couple of pumpkins torn into by the raccoons not even 15 yards from the melon patch. Apparently, I need to purchase a few more. These were actually an Amazon Prime Day purchase so I got the first set for a great deal.
