These deck lights really add a unique and olde time look. The flickering flame is realistic for a LED / Solar light. We have 4in posts and it took a little practice to attach these, as it was a tight fit. I did not use the screws to attach. They fit so snug that I doubt they will fall off, plus if I need to swap one out it's an easy task. When they arrived, half of the solar batteries were dead. I initially thought the lamps were broken so I exchanged them; only to find another 3 were not working. I did a bit of research and someone else suggested to try a new battery. I went to a local store and purchased solar rechargeable batteries and they worked. Remember you have to buy solar rechargeable, which is different than the regular rechargeable batteries. I did not know that myself, so hopefully this will help others. Overall, I really like the style of these lights.

If properly placed - I put it atop my mailbox - this gets sun from all angles and therefore should light throughout the night.

I like these, but the town snow plow knocked one off twice, breaking the casing, and I contacted the seller asking for help purchasing just the casing and got no reply. Never happy with a company that has rubbish customer service
