Works Really Well
This is a really handy tool, although you shouldn't rely on it alone to prove something isn't live, it is a very useful double check. I particularly like the dual sensitivity, so you can easily detect a live in a bunch of cables and then use the low sensitivity to home in on which of the cables it is.

Very sensitive detection
Never had one before but thought I would try one. Seems to do what it says although I am glad it has a desensitization button otherwise it would be useless on individual cables in a distribution box. Early days but can’t say anything against it. Great little tool

Essential toolbox item for pro electricians
I use a lot of Kewtech stuff - well-made and reliable.I bought this to replace my old Kewstick which "disappeared" on a job and was never seen again.I actually find it much better and more useful than the bog standard model, and use it many times a day in my work as an electrician.Firstly, it has an on/off switchSecondly it has an audio & visual [the business end glows red] warning of live conductorsThirdly, it has two sensitivities - useful in areas where there may be multiple live cables. Not perfect but the reduced sensitivity setting gives you a chance of identifying a live cable amongst a few in fairly close proximity. Finally, if left switched on in your pocket, it emits a beep every few seconds to remind you to turn it off [or if you've left it on the floor, a reminder to put it back in your pocket🤣]Essential bit of kit. Although obviously you'll be practicing Safe Isolation and never just relying on a volt stick, will you🤣🤣?

A good tool, but not a proving unit replacement
Good voltage indicator. When working alone can hear when power returns (audible and visual indication) so further tests can be carried out. I also like the sensitivity button.

Accurate but too bulky
Good quality, easy to use, voltage detector.Don't forget to press the little button which makes it little LESS sensitive, like when you check the correct wiring inside a light bulb socket so it will show the absence of voltage upon touching the neutral part of it, otherwise it will be set off by detecting the voltage of the phase part of the fitting upon aproach. When you got cables bunched tight together, press that little button to be able to check/read each cable individually without the tester being set off by influence of the neighbouring cables in the bunch.Highly recomended over the pen screewdriver testers generally, though a bit too bulky to get into tight spaces.

Annoying on button for me personally
It's good that it makes a sound when detecting live cables so its easy to use in trunking. Sensitive detection also works well when cables are relatively close together. Downside for me is the power button, wish it was a slider mechanism or placed on the top because it turns on when I have a number of tools on me or using steps.
