After 6 months - stopped working
Used for my outdoor mini patio pond & initially it worked great. I did not need strong aeration so it got the job done & my plants were happy (did not keep fish in this). Mainly wanted this to prevent mosquitos from laying eggs in the water.I kept this outdoors through the summer & rainy weather with the unit covered so that there wouldn’t be any weather damage. I never turned off the pump either. Maybe a combination of the elements just eventually wore on the unit til it stopped working. It still turns on, it’s just the pump is no longer functioning. Just the light turns on.So for 6 months it worked great - performance had steadily declined (pump became very weak), then stopped functioning altogether.Update - the customer service is excellent & was very responsive to my concerns. I would be happy to try the product again especially since it is inexpensive but this time provide better protection for the unit from outdoor elements to see if that would maintain its functionality better.

Not recommended
Pump already quit working. It's smaller than expected and when it did work it produced very little aeration. It gets plenty of sunlight for the solar cell, so that isn't the issue. Worked for a couple days and now nothing.

Works great!
I used it for a small "pond" / tub. It's been going nonstop all summer. Great value! It's very simple to set up and it oxygenated a 50 gallon tub. A pleasant suprise!

Doesn't seem to be very durable
We use this outside in our koi pond. The battery back up is not the best because, no matter what mode I have it on, it doesn't operate through the night. The solar panel does its job. The bubbles work as expected. Ants are attracted to something in the plastic/rubber feet. Tiny red sugar ants. We keep the pump away from the water and covered so it doesn't get rained on.I'm not mad I bought this, but I probably won't buy it again. We've only had it a couple of months and it's just not what I'm looking for.

Works well for my small patio pond
I have a small patio pond with rice fish in it. I needed something that would be able to run a small sponge filter intermittently and also provide gentle oxygenation. This works for both of those things! It's also very quiet, you can't even tell it's running unless you're listening very closely. Works with the sponge filter I have, and works with the air stone. Only runs in sunlight, which works for my needs.

Works, but not strong as described
The Biling Solar Pond Aerator with Battery Backup, 3 Modes Solar Air Pump Hydroponics Air Pump, Solar Powered Pond Bubbler for Outdoor Fish Pond Stock Tank Aquarium works, it puts out bubbles but slightly. I wouldn't go to deep or the bubbles would barely blow. I would put it in a 10-15 gallon tank not a pond. I replaced this pump with one that burned out. The burned out pump I had running would churn the water as if it had undertow ripples. This pump barely moves the water with it's highest settings. I'm going to keep this pump because I like the fact it runs on solor, so far it comes on when the sun comes up and runs for a while after the sun goes down. For this reason and this reason only I'm going to keep this pump. Would I recommend this pump for a deep pond or tank no!. But if fishing and you want to keep the fish alive yes it would be great for that. Otherwise no, I don't recommend this pump for ponds and deep aquariums.

Works Great! Batter powers system all night.
Air pump works great. Needs a control valve to be able to place the 2 dispersal heads at different depths in the water. (Costs about $5 and includes backflow preventers that unfortunately also prevent air flow.) I live in the desert with overwhelming amount of sun. The battery backup works great, powering the system all night without any trouble. One thing; the tiny nut that holds the stand together was missing when I got the product. I rigged something up, but it would have been nice to get everything needed in the box.

Stopped working after less than 2 months
I’ve had this product for about 6 weeks, it’s in my small outdoor pond and I started noticing problems about a month in where it would just shut off (despite plenty of sun out). At first I could just hit the power button a few times to turn it back on, but now the power button needs to be manually held for it to keep pumping, which is obviously not possible for continuous use. I even have the pump itself protected in a stone recess next to the pond. Don’t waste your money.
