Couldn’t put this book down
I’ve loved Mollie-Mae since the day I watched her on love island. She is so authentic and true to her followers. She is so open & very inspiring especially to young women in this day & age. There’s not a lot in this book I never really knew but more of an insight of her work, childhood, ect. I would have liked to see a chapter on just her and Tommy but she did include Tommy in the book. As a young business women she should be proud of what she’s achieved it’s huge! She’s a talented and beautiful person inside and out. Her words and quotes really will change your total aspect on life. Couldn’t put this book down. If you love mollie as much as me then you need to get this book! Although, I do feel this book was written quite rushed but that’s just my own personal view. I felt she could have added a lot more details of life with Tommy and her experience in love island rather than after. One thing I Never realised was how much me and mollie have in common. SO much! Similar experiences, pasts, relationship, goal aspirations, a lot more! Love this and love her x

Good reason, sectioned into chapters well
I really enjoyed this book, it gave a better look into the life of Molly Mae whilst offering advice too. The book is written exactly how Molly talks on her YouTube vlogs which I loved!

A Must Read For Influencers
Molly-Mae tells her story so far about her growing up, love life and career. At 23, there isn’t an awful lot to tell about her life, but she gives it a good go. I was expecting more about Love Island, but it’s glossed over in a matter of sentences, which was disappointing. She mainly talks about her looks. Getting fillers, having them dissolved again and how she let herself go and felt unhealthy when she was a size 10. As someone who is a size 10, I actually found it a little insulting (especially given that the average UK woman is a size 16). It made me feel self conscious. Completely the opposite of what, I think (hope!), she was trying to achieve. I get that her looks are part of what makes her successful, but she comes across as quite shallow in places. There is a lot about her influencing; Instagram, You Tube, TikTok, her brand deals and her own business. It’s almost like a beginners guide to influencing, as opposed to a life story. Which is interesting, but gets a bit repetitive and boring after a while.I do like the relationship her and Tommy have though. They seem very much in love, and Tommy’s faithfulness and adoration of her seems incredibly sweet. She comes across as very much a home bird, and surprisingly introverted. She doesn’t have a wide circle of friends and is anti alcohol and drugs, which makes a refreshing change for someone in the limelight.“I’ll get to that later” was a phrase I was fed up of reading by the end of the book!A quick read, I read this in an afternoon. Not sure I’d recommend to anyone who isn’t particularly interested in Instagram or influencing.

Very boring
I really wanted to love this book! But sadly it was just a huge money making scheme by Molly Mae. It is very much a self promotion.

I wanted to love it
I really wanted to like this book. I have followed Molly-Mae for years; I think she is lovely and I really enjoy her content. But honestly, this book could have been written with a few more years of maturity and life experience behind her.I’m going to start of with the parts I really liked. As a 23-year old female myself, when Molly-Mae talks about grieving a friendship and how they change over years, it was something that really hit home. It was one of the most genuine, relatable parts of the whole book. Her discussions about her struggling with her health, and her weight, were also very refreshing and comforting, as so many women, including myself, struggle with that daily. I imagine it takes a lot of courage to write about this so candidly, so well-done.The parts I didn’t like: Overall, it’s very surface level and superficial (and feels like another money grab at $17 AUD for an ebook!!!!). Also - how many times can Molly-Mae use the word “different” in one book? Whether it’s describing how she wanted to “be different” or “doing different things”, it felt repetitive and forced. She highlights a number of times how her biggest concern growing up was that she wanted everyone to be talking about her and how “different” she was, without being self-aware enough to know that she really was just looking for attention.I really do like Molly-Mae, but in some areas it felt as though she was looking down upon those who choose to live a life that doesn’t include wanting to be famous - where she essentially says something along the lines of: I never wanted to live an ‘ordinary’ life, that’s just not for me! But that’s fine if it’s for you. Just not for me!. It’s almost ironic, that anyone who chooses to live a “different” life than her, is something she cannot understand. For her, living life to the fullest and with ‘no regrets’ means having as much fame and success possible. For me, it’s about spending as much time and making many memories with my friends and my loved ones.I have a lot more thoughts on the book, including what felt like a justification on how charitable she is because she gives to the homeless; and her excuse for lacking knowledge on important worldly events on being young, but I will leave it at that. I would like to see another book from Molly-Mae years down the track, from what hopefully might be a more humble and down-to-earth perspective.I still really like Molly-Mae and think she has lovely qualities that I would want in a friend, including kindness and thoughtfulness. I’m just not convinced she has lived a life fully enough for a memoir - ironic when this appears to be her biggest goal. 2/5 stars for me. (Review also posted on goodreads).
