Right size and durable
I am taking this pack on a mission trip to Africa. It is the right size and seems to be durable. I am happy to have the zipper locks so I do not have to worry about thief. We will see how it hold up.

2nd time backpack for this brand
This was a gift for my son. He dearly loved his previous backpack which was also made by travel pro. Before I settling on this one, he tried out several of their different models, and decided this best fit his needs. He recently returned from a trip to Europe and reports that the bag worked perfectly. It kept his It kept his belongings safe and was comfortable to wear all day long.

Best purchase for our trip.
I love this backpack. Hiked all over Northern California and Alaska with it. It is light eight but big enough for gear, cameras, binoculars, and my MacBook. Kept passport, money, credit cards and important papers secure. It doesn’t have a sternum strap and I thought I was going to hate that; however, it is designed so it doesn’t need it. Fits perfectly under the seat in front of you on the airplane. I love this bag, I wish that I had bought it earlier.

Straps are rough
While the security features of this bag are great - every time I put on or took off the bag, the straps caused serious irritation on my skin. I also do not love that the bottom of the bag is fabric. I do not foresee this type of bag lasting an extended period of time.

Too much padding for me
I wanted the pack for traveling. If I needed to seriously protect a large laptop, it would be great. Otherwise there is too much padding, making it heavy, stiff and awkward. I returned it.
