I just did a refret using gold EVO fretwire, and this file was like a dream to use.Takes just nothing to use, light pressure is all you need, in fact hard pressure just makes it harder to use, a couple swipes more using lighter pressure works better than one hard swipe. I think this is due to it being a precision made file with the perfect teeth, it just cuts the metal away instead of brute forcing it to dig in, light pressure has a very controllable filing away of just the right amount, the safety sides are so close that you don't think it is going to work, but they worked perfectly, the only way you can screw it up is by forcing the safety sides into the finish, and there is no gain by using harder pressure to file with, easy to clean, looks like new still.
