Great Sea to Summit pack
This is the second time I have purchased this hiking bag. Very strong and rugged. Lost the first one in an armed robbery and was quite diligent to replace it.

Quality
It is a very well made waterproof back pack. Nothing to get snagged on going off trail. I bought a variety of smaller dry bags of different sizes and colors to divide up the contents of what I stuff inside it which keeps everything separated and easier to pack and unpack.

very large - fabric thinner than expected
Very large bag. For anything other than a multi-day trip, this is probably overkill. Good for canoe trips...might be too large for a kayak. Lots of loops in various spots so that you can easily tie this down. My only concern is that the fabric isn't very thick. Feels like it could be punctured fairly easily.

Navigating Torrential Downpours and Mondays: The Sea to Summit Big River Dry Backpack Experience
Greetings and salutations, fellow adventurers, commuters, and hopelessly disorganized folks! It's your friendly neighborhood gear reviewer here, and today we'll be talking about the Sea to Summit Big River Dry Backpack. And no, it's not just because I enjoy saying its name in my best adventure-narrator voice โ though that is a small, guilty pleasure of mine. First things first. The color. Jet Black. This backpack is darker than my sense of humor on a Monday morning. The 75-liter capacity is much like my love for pizza - it seems almost bottomless. Whether you're a budding mountaineer or a parent packing for a picnic in the park, this bag has more space than a Martian colony.Next, let's address the elephant in the room, or more accurately, the hippo in the river. This baby is DRY. It's like the Sahara Desert decided to take up backpacking. You could throw this bag into the sea and the contents would come out dryer than British wit. I tried it. My cookies were not only dry, but they still had their crunch! The adjustable harness system is as customizable as a high-end gaming PC. Built for comfort, it adjusts quicker than your eyes during a power outage. Like your favorite jeans, it somehow manages to fit just right, whether you're a lanky teenager or built like a sumo wrestler.Oh, and let's not forget durability. This bag is tougher than a two-dollar steak. It's constructed with a heavy-duty TPU laminated fabric, which is a fancy way of saying, "This thing laughs in the face of danger." It's practically immune to abrasion and can withstand the gnarliest of weather conditions. So, who's the Sea to Summit Big River Dry Backpack for? If you're a thrill-seeker looking for your next hiking or kayaking companion, it's perfect. If you're a student trying to protect your expensive textbooks from a torrential downpour or a rogue spilled coffee - this backpack's got your back. Heck, even if you're just trying to keep your snacks dry on a rainy day - this is the bag for you.To sum it up, this backpack is the superhero of bags. It's the Batman of dry bags: mysterious, dependable, and always ready to carry your stuff when the going gets tough. That's all from me today, folks. Keep on adventuring, stay dry, and remember - the world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page. So grab your bag and start exploring!

Solid dry pack for water adventures; hits all the marks I was looking for
With a canoe loop trip planned this summer, I was excited to see this new backpack being offered by Sea to Summit. I have a lot of their other gear and it's always good. The pack hits all the marks in my book. The large capacity pack gives plenty of space for all I need on the trail and water: sleeping bag, air pad, small tent, camp items, and some clothes. There is webbing lashing on the sides. You have the option of rolling the top down and looping it together (like with a regular dry bag) or rolling the top down and then pulling it down to the sides. In either configuration, rolling it three times was enough to give an air tight seal, at least with gentle squeezing of the pack to test it. The lashing points have a maximum load of 100kg or 220lbs, which provides plenty of safety margin beyond that I would attach. I will figure out in my final loadout if I want to add an accessory bag to the outside. There are plenty of attachment points to hang a mesh bag with a water filter as well as any wet gear. Though I have a long torso, the pack easily fits me, plus there is ample room in the waist and sternum straps to handle a bulkier outer layer. Of course, it's not a framed pack, so I view the waist strap as providing load stability and control rather than any relief for my shoulders. Packed well, a tent or other gear will provide a little structure, though. Plus, the pack is meant for use on the water, so it's not like you need it to mule in a bunch of water.Again, the pack hits all the marks in terms of what I was looking for. The pack seems well made, with good stitching, tough fabric, and overall good construction. The buckles are all field repairable, so if you pack in replacement parts they can be replaced easily. Overall, it's a solid pack for use on the water.Highly recommended.
