I purchased these to assist with my car detailing - they are ideal for very light sanding down of scratches in the lacquer prior to polishing them back up with a dual action polisher. I found the 3000 grade enough for light scratches, just wet down and rub lightly over the scratch until it has 'blended' in with the surrounding paint (beware, only sand VERY lightly as it is possible to rub through the paint or lacquer doing this!) - when dried this will leave a dull (but smooth area) that needs polishing back up using a dual action polisher - Being small pieces negates the need to keep ripping chunks out of a big sheet of sandpaper, these are perfect size to use and then dispose of.
