Ahead Armor AR3011 14x5.5 inch Snare Bag for Drum

So far so great! I bought a Tiger bag before this as I didn't want to spend too much money on a bag. Well, I sent that bag back.Why? Too big (even though it was the correct size) and I didn't trust the padding to protect the drum.I want a bag where the snare feels snug, where when I'm carrying it I don't feel it's swishing around inside and thus I feel like I'm carrying a bag with a snare inside not (as I want) a single unit (if that makes any sense!).This does that very well indeed.Any downsides, well, it doesn't have any pockets nor a shoulder strap which I thought I wanted. But it turns out that whilst I would like them, it's nowhere near as important to me as a snug snare with a lovely mock sheepskin rug to protect it.OH an another thing. Want to tune your drum? The interior is perfect for this (with the soft interior dampening the underside of the drum, allowing you to more accurately tune the top side. The Tiger didn't do this). An added and unexpected bonus for me - glad I spent the extra money.N.B. i work neither for Ahead, or am a disgruntled employee of the other brand, I just appreciate when I come across something worth buying.

I have a number of Ahead Armor cases and bought ghis for a recent addition to my collection of gigging snares . The construction etc is as you would expect if you have other cases from this range, but unusually the fit is a bit tight. You would struggle with a drum with a very protruding snare mechanism to fit this case comfortably.

Fantastic as always. Ahead cases IMHO are the best you can buy. So much better than hard cases but tough as old boots and a great design in respect to the teardrop shape that allows you drums to slip in and out easily. They last really well. Not cheap but worth every penny.

I like Ahead cases in general. Well made. However this one arrived so tightly bound with clingfilm that it was crushed and creased. Also, unusually for Ahead, the teardrop shape was so minimal that it didn't fit the snare drum as well as a conventional Protection Racket round case. Not a problem with Ahead tom and bass drum cases. Sent back for a refund.

PERFECT!!!I have a ludwig LM400 14×5.5 brilliant snare drum, and I also need a brilliant case for it, this is perfect, looks great, and the tear shape is a great shape for the throw off, it fits so well around the snare, carrying it makes it feel so light!Packaging was awful though, but it doesn't change the fact how good it is!

very pleased with this item - it is not a flight case - and it is not advertised as such - but is more than enough for what i need it for - protecting my drum between house, car, and gig - the fleecy padding inside is lovely, appreciated by both my drum and my three year old toddler!

I use in my snare 13x6 and it works great, reinforced and durable material.

Perfect and a very good price!
