The "TANGZON 7L Evaporative Air Cooler" is brilliant in my opinion, although the branding on mine did say 'Costway' not 'Tangzon'. Looks exactly like the photos and has all the same features.It's a nice looking cooler for the price and I particularly like the LCD display. The remote control is a useful addition as well.It's definitely powerful as I only usually run it on the lowest speed setting in my office and it does blow out cold air with cold water in the tank and it set to the 'cooling' mode. Compared to a standing 3-speed fan, in my experience, the lowest speed on this air cooler is about as powerful as the second speed on a 3-speed fan.Finally, in terms of noise, it's not the quietest but this doesn't bother me. It's powerful and does a good job so it's not going to be silent.

Very handy unit, haven't used the ice blocks yet no need at the moment.

Thought this would be a good purchase after reading the reviews but no…. I wanted this for my office and it’s not a big room. 2.5m x 3m. I added the frozen cooling blocks and thought I was going to have a pleasant working day. All it does is blowing air. The cooling blocks do nothing to cool the air coming out on a warm day beyond 25 degrees C. Nothing. It’s doesn’t have the capacity to get the air cool enough. And it’s soo noisy it’s unreal. On the lowest setting it’s so loud you can’t be in meetings talking and the power of the fan is soo strong you’re basically sitting in a draft regardless of how you position the fan. If you’re looking at cooling a small/ medium sized room to a more pleasant working temp on a hot summers day- don’t buy it. If you like a hot, windy and noisy room- sure. I have smaller basic fans in other rooms that actually do a better job than this one.

Better than nothing. But not very cold.

Good value for money. Easy to move from room to room. I have it on medium speed and water lasts a long time.
