Great light for when the power goes out
Power went out for 2 hours during a storm. Like the strap on this one, just put it around my neck while walking around the house lighting candles.

Easily my favorite flashlight of all time!
I don't claim to be a flashlight expert, but I've owned plenty through the years including Maglights back when those were the best thing since sliced bread. This one is easily my favorite and the first that has ever been capable of a very specific usage scenario that has me most excited. The overall look and feel of the flashlight is very well done. It feels substantial in your hand and would leave a serious impression if you were to whack someone over the head with it. It comes with a handy wrist-strap already attached and the button and charge indicator are both a good size and work as you'd want. I think it is a perfect camping flashlight since it can be charged via USB, will emergency charge another device, but can still use some backup standard batteries if needed. I don't see anywhere in the description that describes how much capacity the battery has (for charging another item) so I assume it is fairly minimal and should not be counted on as anything other than a truly emergency minimal charger. Finally, the light comes with a surprisingly quality protective case. The case is relatively thin plastic so absolutely nowhere near Pelican quality/protection, but you likely won't have any issues with the light breaking if you toss the case into your camping kit or trunk. The biggest thing I appreciate is how bright the light is and how easy it is to adjust to various levels. I have zero ability to comment on the number of lumens, but assume the 100K number is likely fiction. That said, it is still super bright and I've tried to illustrate that with my pictures. Always hard to get perfect night shots with a phone so please excuse the fuzziness, and of course the light beam looks white IRL versus the blue lightsaber appearance in my pics. The first pic shows what the beam looks like at its widest setting. The fence is about 40 feet from where I was standing. The second pic shows what the beam looks like at its narrowest setting. It is casting light easily sufficient to read by on trees that are about 200 feet away. It also performed similarly when I was lighting up something closer to 500 feet away, but I didn't want to take the time for that picture since it was a neighbor's yard. The third pic is the one I am most excited about. I was on an African safari years ago where our guide had a super powerful light that had to be plugged into his Land Cruiser. We spent one night stargazing and he was able to use his light to trace out the various constellations we never get to see in the northern hemisphere. This flashlight is pretty small and can run off a 3xAAAs, but is still perfectly capable of doing the same thing. I'm looking forward to taking it out to the mountains this summer and using it with my partner to try to locate and trace out some constellations we don't ever get to see in the city.If this flashlight lasts for at least a few years and is able and handles a few drops and scrapes along the way it will prove to be well worth the price and my 5 stars. If I have any issues before then I'll be sure to come back and downgrade my rating appropriately.
