German Phani Dough aka kartoffel poofers (pardon the spelling my German is shakey)
I came across this product in Germany and they are effectively mixed with water and made into a dough with a tiny piece of fried bread in the middle and Simmered until they rise to the surface. They are a fantastic and a superb alternative to potatos and much better for you than chips. kids love them and I was so pleased to find that I can now get hold of them through Amazon as no-where else seems to sell them. I presume, because they are a traditional German recipe the British may treat them with some caution and if you make them wrongly they may be a disaster. But try them, you will not be disappointed but don't forget the little square of fried bread in the middle of each potato ball it enhances the flavour.

Lovely dumplings but way overpriced
The product itself is lovely, however incredibly overpriced for one small box of dumplings. Next time I will go back to my original source.
