Decent speeds and installation was simple. A quick upgrade for a mechanical HDD boot drive...
I plan to replace my wife’s mechanical HDD in her laptop with this one since an SSD will be faster. Installation was easy as the SSD is the same size of a regular 2.5” HDD. I Went into the BIOS after installation and the BIOS could see the drive and showed me the correct capacity. 128GB is just about right for a Windows boot drive now as it can contain Windows and any other software you use regularly which you want to start up faster. Booted from my Windows 11 Boot USB drive and started to install Windows. Windows installed without a problem, nice and quick which it usually is with an SSD. Scanned the drive for errors and nothing was found. Capacity was reading as 119.21GB which is about right for a 128GB HDD.Doing a speed test shows the drive to be performing above what they state on their sales blurb for read speeds but performs a bit under their claimed write speed. Random read/write speeds are low, but they always will be lower than sequential read/writes.In conclusion, the price point for this older SSD technology is very affordable for such a performance gain. If you are running a laptop or PC which runs on the traditional platter HDD as your boot drive, you will see a significant increase in boot times when using an SSD as your boot drive. It’s quite a boost in performance in these circumstances. If you are looking for another SSD for storage of games, video editing etc… then it’s a worth while investment. If you a want even faster drives, then m.2 is the way to go if your motherboard supports it but be prepared to pay a lot more. This drive sits at a very good price point.

Basic but works well
This 2.5" solid state drive from Topesel comes thinly boxed. Build quality seems fine - it's very lightweight with all the right safety markings but curiously in the specs there's no reference to the 128GB capacity other than acknowledging that in reality it will be less, as it always is with these things.I will eventually put it into a mini-PC but right now I am using the drive in an external enclosure as that makes it far more portable. Even then it's not plug-and-play. To get the drive working I had to initialise it, which didn't take me too long on Windows 11 following some instructions I found online. Once formatted, the drive showed a 119GB capacity, which is not really very much if you are working with large files. I have a couple of USB sticks and micro-SD cards that have that capacity and I'm always running out of space on them, so while it's nice to have another 119GB to play with I would have really liked it to be double that, especially given the price. The drive doesn't have much of a premium look or feel and the absence of a stated capacity is worrying as it makes me think the housing is generic but overall I'm pleased with this SSD drive. If it fails in the future I will of course update my review but so far it's proved reliable and it's fast enough for my purposes (I'm mainly using it to transfer files) so I have no complaints about the performance.

I wonder how long this will last
I have already bought a 512gb version of this and presumed it would be just a smaller capacity . But this one seems to be different . crystaldiskinfo shows 62 invalid blocks , 0 valid spare blocks , 0 max erase count of spec and 0 available reserve space . I don't think I will rely on this for anything critical .

Perfectly acceptable "little known" brand drive, but shop around on price
I installed this drive into an external SSD case (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BQ1SZPZK) and cloned a Linux operating system to it from which I booted a Raspberry Pi 4. Performance was acceptable, although not outstanding. I got write speeds of about 160-170 MB/s, broadly similar to a similar capacity Kingston SSD drive (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-A400-Solid-State-Drive/dp/B01N6JQS8C) in the same external SSD housing. I ran some simple low level hard drive tests for faulty sectors and all was reported back as OK. I'd be perfectly happy using this drive for development work on Raspberry Pi's and similar SBC's. Whilst too small for most PC's or Mac computers, 128 Gb is fine for a pared back Linux operating system. However, there are a couple of oddities. The first is that the drive contains no indication of its capacity on the housing. Not in itself critical, but it does seem rather unusual. I've got a lot of SSD drives and every one of them indicates the capacity on the casing. The second is the price. At £21 this is very overpriced when you consider that the equivalent Kingston drive linked above is only about £15 and a Crucial drive - another well known and widely used make - with double the capacity (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Crucial-CT240BX500SSD1-Internal-Solid-State/dp/B07G3YNLJB) is less than £19. The latter has been reviewed over 44,000 times. I did a quick scan of 128 Gb SSD drives and found them listed from £12-13, including some reasonably well-reviewed makes. Normally I'd only dock a single star for an overpriced item, but this is so much higher than it should be that I've docked two. At £12-13 I'd consider it alongside other little-known makes, at almost double that price I would look elsewhere.
