Nice fabric but shrinks in wash
I bought this pack of 10 fat quarters to make beeswax wraps. The fabric weight, patterns and colours are perfect for this purpose but might be a bit thin for other uses such as quilting. When they arrived the fat quarters measured 50x50cm as described. After washing in cold water they each shrunk to 48x48cm, with frayed edges. Before using I will have to trim them with pinking shears which will take at least another cm off each dimension. This won’t worry me as they are still plenty big enough for my purposes, but might be an issue for someone with a different project in mind. This is why I have given 4 stars instead of 5. I hope I’m not being too harsh.Update - when trimming the fat quarters, I discovered the printed pattern on the purple floral quarter is faulty. There are unprinted streaks, presumably from wrinkling of the fabric when being printed. See photo for details. This limits the uses for this piece of fabric.
