Let’s get the obvious out here first. The included OS, ROMS, and SD card render the miyoo almost unplayable. The included OS is overcomplicated and vague, and just trying to adjust the resolution for GBA game video quality had me crashing the console and accidentally distorting the display beyond recognition. GBA games look fuzzy like they’re being displayed on a CRT tv, which might have been acceptable for some, but even so, I couldn’t save ANY game due to a weird error. The OS is very laggy as well. It’s annoying to have such a fantastically huge list of games to play and having to wait a second to scroll down the list one title at a time.BUT. A quality name-brand 64mb SD card runs less than $10, and there are alternate OSes and game libraries on GitHub to fix your Miyoo and very simple tutorials online explaining how to do it. I’m no tech buff but the most it took me was a little bit of patience and file management.Once you clear that bar, this is close to the best thing I’ve ever bought. I’m just not inclined to play pc or console games, it’s too much of a commitment when I have other things to do. But my miyoo can fit in my pocket and has my favorite games, and a million things to try out just to mess around for fun. Fun was was what I wanted and it’s what I got.On to the physical aspects of the miyoo- I really like it. The design is well thought out, taking what was so successful about the gameboy color and adding modern improvements.It is comfortable to hold— If you have large hands / long fingers it might be too small. The build feels quality, the screen is sturdy, the display is bright, colorful and high res. The battery life has been great so far, and the USBC charging port makes it easy as anything else to charge. The buttons are visually unremarkable but nice to press without being mushy.The volume button is intuitively designed and there is even an audio jack! The speakers are not good. The bass is boosted so it fries game music slightly. I find it kinda charming.I’m sure if I dropped this thing it would break. Having chosen the purple Miyoo for the aesthetic that is the risk I’ve chosen to take!All in all, I adore this thing. It’s pretty, I love holding it, I love using it, I’ve been using it more than my phone, and I’m having a blast. If you want to binge on nostalgia and explore and play games you’ve never even heard of, you should buy this.

The Miyoo Mini is the handheld I didn't know I needed, but now that I have it, it's my favorite.I own all the major consoles, a steam deck and a PC.The Miyoo Mini Plus not the most powerful machine that I own, but it's the one I always have in my pocket.Because of its small-size and light-weight, I find myself carrying it in my pocket nearly as often as I carry my phone. If I find myself with 2 minutes of downtime, I'll just pop it out and start gaming.The screen is 4:3, the perfect size for retro gaming. In fact, The Miyoo Mini Plus is now my preferred way to play NES, SNES, Genesis, GB and GBA. There is a charm to it that I can't explain into words. Why sit at a desk with a PC to play old emulators when you can play them on the couch? It really hits you with nostalgia.The case it comes with is pretty good. It's nice and compact, not adding too much bulk to such a small handheld. The game collection it comes with is generous.The Good- Light Weight- Pocketable size- Great battery life. I get a full day of casual gaming. Heavy gaming will net me around 6 hours depending on the game.- It just works! I can gift this to my kid without tinkering at all and I know the'll be happy- Tinkerers delight. If you're like me and you want to tinker, you have the option to install DotUI, OnionOS, install custom themes.- Great community backing. There are so many people that love this machine. You can find videos of people dying it different colors, customizing it, speaker upgrades, the list goes on!The Bad:- At this price point, I can't think of a single bad thing to say.Minor Nit-Picks- Lack of No-Intro naming convention breaks retro achievements. This isn't an issue for me since I have my own rom collection. and this may not even be a problem for you if you just don't care about retro achievements, but it'd be nice to have better names on the rims.- Replace the SD card with something name brand. This is true no matter where you buy it from. The contents of the SD card are actually pretty good, so just copy it all over to something else.- The speaker is just ok. You can buy an upgrade for $0.40 on AliExpress + shipping, it's worth it.Verdict:The Miyoo Mini Plus is the perfect way to play GBA and older. Its nostalgic design, beautiful 4:3 aspect ratio screen, travel-sized form factor and low price tag makes it not only perfect travel companion, but a charming and fun experience. This also makes a perfect gift for the kids.

La construcción y los materiales se sienten de buena calidad la cruceta es la que se siente un poco chinosa y el peso que tiene hace que se sienta aún de mayor calidad, la pantalla me gustó,muchoY viene conbastantes juegos con la memoria SD que trae, el diseño estilo game boy esta de 10el estuche es de muy buena calidad el único pero que le pongo es que no es muy ergonómica por el tamaño después de una larga sesión de juego se cansan las manos, fuera de eso es muy recomendable si te gusta lo retro

I bought this because I had nothing to do in my theory classes for work and a few people were playing Pokémon on their computers on an emulator. And then I remembered this device and thought I’d give it a try. It’s pretty unbelievable what it can do in regards to how small it is. I can play my favourite ps1 games too like Spyro and crash bandicoot. It’s relatively easy to put more games on it you just have to download the rom from online somewhere and put it in the files. I did have to get a bigger micro and card to put more games on though because the one it comes with is pretty much packed to the limit with games already.

Trae una muy buena variedad de juegos preinstalados y está fácil acceder a ellos, el único punto negativo es el tamaño, es muy pequeña y no es conveniente para las manos jugar por tiempo prolongado.
