My husband is almost 100 percent Italian, grew up in Geneva, NY, and loves to cook Italian meals. Last weekend, he made his "famous Italian spaghetti sauce" with Pomi for the first time. He had run out of his regular sauce and so I ordered Pomi on an impulse. He told me that it was the creamiest, thickest, best tomato sauce he has ever used! And he does not gush very often! The sauce he made was fantastic! It always is, but this one was even a little better! Pomi plus mushrooms, sausage, garlic, onions, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper and red wine = HEAVEN! I just ordered another six pack this week and will always buy more!

I use this exclusively to make Spaghetti all'Assassina, it does a particularly awesome job of that. So creamy and delicious.

Been missing Passata since we moved to the USA from Itay. This is the closest i can find at a reasonable price in my small town and it makes my bolognese taste like the nonna's taught me to make it. Some boxes have arrived damaged and leaking but I've ordered this every 2 months and it's only been half of one shipment. It is not too salt nor too sweet.

Forget grocery store brands of tomato sauce. This is what you need. Flavor is light and sweet. No heavy, artificial "Italian seasoning" that overwhelms the taste buds. This sauce allows the underlying taste of sweet tomato and any meat/addition you select to add. You'll up your culinary status with this.

The media could not be loaded. This tomato puree is a very good product that has lots going for it. First, I really like that the ingredients list is literally tomatoes and salt, The puree is very smooth, you should shake the container because as I was emptying it out it was some thicker puree towards the bottom of the container.The taste is very neutral and actually on the sweeter side. It doesn't have the more acidic flavor profile that some puree brands have. I tasted the puree out of the package and thought about it a while and it actually tastes like very thick plain tomato juice. That isn't knock on the product, just illustrating the flavor profile that is sweeter and less acidic.What's different about the Pomi is that it comes in the Tetra Pak packaging instead of a tin can. I'm torn about the Tetra pak just because I have read some articles that have questioned how "eco-friendly" this packaging actually is. While they are theoretically recyclable, the articles have said that most recycling centers don't have the capabilities to actually separate the different layers from the paper board so these containers are just separated out and thrown into the trash. So,, While there are these questions about this packaging, I would still prefer to use a very recyclable tin can.At $34 for a six pack as of this writing, that's on the expensive side but not over priced when compared with other good brands that I have used like the CENTO or MUIR GLEN so I would definitely consider this brand in the future, though I do prefer a fresher and more acidic flavor profile.

I Ordered this item and it exploded and ruined the entire shipment of other items !!! HUGE MESS!!!!! Our post office returned the box, and after several weeks I still have not received a refund. Don't order this!

We have sensitive tummies coupled with always looking for clean eating products. Pomi passata really fits the bill. Great quality, reasonable price, and no problems with service. We use this passata for everything!
