Maybe too strong? Learn from my mistake!!
Well... Brute Magnets appear to be very well made magnets and are quite strong. Maybe too strong?!?!?! Today I was on the 3rd drop of my 1st outing with my new Brutus of a magnet dropping it from an abandoned bridge that has been turned into a fishing pier. I was pulling the magnet up out of Lake Superior hoping to find a treasure worth millions. When the magnet emerged from the depths not only was devoid of any treasure, but it came in contact with a steel beam under the bridge deck. I had no idea there was a steel beam down there since the bridge deck was wood. Oopsie. I pulled from every conceivable angle with the force exceeding that of six oxen. Eventually my son and I gave it one last pull using all the strength we could muster from the universe. Then suddenly we found ourselves flying backwards and landing on our bums. Because the magnet released???? NO!! The rope finally succumbed to our incredible otherworldly strength. This would become my one and only outing with this incredibly strong magnet. Looks like I will be buying another 🤷♂️

Impulse Buying
The videos look like a lot of fun!Seems my streams and lakes have nothing to hide. That's what I get for 'impulse buying'.But if I EVER drop a screw on the shop floor, I could probably retrieve it from 10' away . . . and then have to use pliers to remove the screw.I am amazed how much iron is in mud is in ROCKS and MUD.Yes, the magnet does its job and can steal the bad breath from a buzzard!

Really Strong, Not Made For Water Use.
Update: I recovered the lost magnet with the help of some selfless paddle boarders, who were kind enough to dive into the river to retrieve it. The photo shows what it looks like after a month of submersion in brackish water.Update 2: I left this magnet in storage for a year and the corrosion finally destroyed it, I guess since it was attached to a metal object through a layer of carpet. So if you store it, make sure it’s not attached to any metal. It’s not as strong as before and it’s falling apart. I plan to buy another and store it better this time. This is a great magnet for the price, it's really strong so use caution around metal objects. I used mine for magnet fishing and it picked up plenty of old hooks and fishing lures. Unfortunately, I lost my first one when it became stuck on some rocks off a pier :( I will attempt to retrieve it in the future but I will be ordering another soon. I noticed that it started to rust and tarnish after the first day I submerged it, so I'll be covering the new one with plasti-dip.

Works great!
My son wanted this for magnet fishing and used it all summer! It’s held up great so far, he managed to get it stuck to a bridge and it was pretty hard to remove. It’s definitely a strong magnet and if he loses this magnet I will most likely buy this one again.

Don’t stick it to anything flat and heavy unless you wanna laugh your butt off trying to get it off
Holy Poop. We just got this about half hour ago. So my husband picks up his bongos with it , cool. Then my adult son decided to try it on a weight. Funniest thing ever. It took the 2 of them about 20 minutes and a bend piece of rebar. Me and the 3 kids laughed our butts off. Well worth the money. Thanks for the laughs

Good magnet
I am a commercial diver, and I got this magnet for a job that I am on. Needed it to be able to both hold me in place as well as set my project where I needed it to weld. Overall, this magnet does as it is advertise. Quality is good. I have only used it for three dives, and it has developed a crack in the magnet already, doesn't seem to be affecting it as of right now.As for the ease of removing, I had to devise a handle for it to give some leverage to remove it, and I need to purchase a longer screw to offset the handle. Otherwise the magnet is hanging in there, doing as it's designed

Exactly what it claims to be.
This magnet weighs enough to get it the end of the rope(65ft) that I put it on with just a little effort. I only caught a couple bottle caps and half of a toe nail clipper on my first run out but it worked. It came fast. I like the foam packaging that came with it and I'll probably be using that foam to store it for a good long while til the box breaks down. The foam is enough that it keeps the magnet from sticking too strongly to metal under the box. The metal seems sturdy and likely to hold up to the rated weight of the magnet. This is my first large magnet for magnet fishing and I'm happy with my purchase.

Very strong, great quality.
This magnet is very strong and also very well built. The eyebolt makes it perfect for magnet fishing, especially with the addition of a lock washer and a bottle of locktite.(DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME WARNING) I stuck it carefully to part of a beam, the steel where I placed the magnet was about an 1/8th inch thick. I was able to hang from the magnet, I weigh about 150lbs. I had to use a long rod through the eyebolt to pry and get enough leverage to remove it. It can hold much more than 150, I was just curious :D. Also stuck a wrench to it and could not pull it straight off.

Super fun magnet fishing
Magnet is strong and so far seems yo work well. Definitely not 500 pounds of magnetic pulling force as most situations in water aren't ideal but still a good value for the money.
