So this computer is really good, with proper updates and configuration I have tested and played a laundry list of higher end titles, Like rising storm 2, and battle field 5,arma 3,starcraft 2, one thing that did mess me up at first was the fact that I have a 5G router with 5G broadcasting, this laptop is 5g and 2.4 g, had to switch back to 2.4 G on my routers 2 g channel because, games and internet would work on 5G but would constantly cut off and gaming services wouldn't work right as far as match making, this was a two fold problem between the laptop firewall and my router, after some invested time about 48 hours of dedicated problem solving, I got the problem fixed, this is more on my web provider more than anything I would suspect, but at the end of it all I have a awesome gaming laptop. Important points -Update the machine's software and drivers before you do anything else,it will be a lengthy process so don't plan on any immediate gaming. Don't neglect the dragon center either, because that can be helpful if used right, this is not a novice's computer, but it is good for a novice. -When you are gaming I would recommend plugging it in to keep your games full powered. -The system needs to be configured for gaming so that means setting fan speeds to loud and cold, Also I would highly recommend a cooling station for the lap because it will need it, they do get hot without one. -Normally I wouldn't say this but I will also say to you ahead of time make sure you have a clear plan of attack as the first few days or weeks of using a new pc is going to be a long configuration...because unless you are a techy/gamer and not simply a gamer, this is not a plug and play device. Great laptop with power for price and defintely adaptive, I was really impressed playing battle field 5 on the highest settings and still was getting at least 50 fps, now since I know other players play on more decked out rigs then what I just received I just drop my settings on down and just enjoy, I just went from a dinosaur that I built back in 04 with my brother, her long service was up, that 4 gb ram,100 gig hdd, dual core amd with 3 gb gdr5 dual x card, got put into storage all because this bad little mama-jama. I plan on buying another after this one. This rig is targeted toward gamers but I would say this is a good laptop for just about anyone wanting some horse power and it looks really nice too, which isn't a point but damn it adds to this things appeal. I have logged heavy usage on this sucker and it has barely broken a sweat...configuration people.... -

Bought this and upgraded the ram and NVME. I added a ssd for dual booting mint and kali. Works without any issues!! Cant speak on gaming performance but not bad price to performance. Only con is the one cooling fan and lack of heat pipes. While its mostly quiet on less demanding task it does heat up quickly. Some thermal throttling but not constantly. For $650 it was worth it! I dont have buyers remorse like i did when I bought the gl702zc 8 core laptop or the zephyus s 6 core both had great performance but were expensive.

First off let me just say when you first get this conputer update all of your drivers as soon as possible. You will have a much better time gaming after. Note: i say value for money is 3* because you can buy or build a pc that runs better for the same price, but if u require one for college and dont want to lug a big pc around then get this. Here are average fps i get on most games ive played so far keep in mind this screen is only 60hz so you will NOT see over 60 fps. Fortnite: 60+ Osu: 60+ Dark souls 3: 60+ Sekiro SDT: 50-60+ CSGO: 60+ Escape from Tarkov: 40-60 lower settings D2: 50-60 Multitasks pretty good as well. As for everything else it still does it well enough. Rendering videos just fine. Just wish it had more ram thats the only thing holding me back to be honest. Few things that bother me that ive noticed is that it would crash games (like destiny 2) not sure if this is due to heat or something im doing on my side but it does it rather often. I do have other programs open when gaming though so that could also be a problem.

This gaming laptop gives a lot for what you pay for. It can run many games like Minecraft with shaders. The fan can be loud when you play games because there is only one fan. It can only cool so much, so the laptop is pretty warm even on light use. Make sure when you play games to activate the GPU otherwise it will run only on integrated graphics which is slower. The sound is pretty good, not the best but better than many others. Overall a good gaming computer.
