Use this to clean dark brown leather. If used on lighter leather it will darken it, so apply evenly. Good conditioner, especially on old stiff dark brown r. Very useful when trying to hide scrapes and scuffs on dark leather. Smell goes eventually. Don't use on sofas or clothes or on coloured leather, just dark brown, tan or natural pale undyed leather you want to darken. Have used on old brogues, handbags, saddles, belts, weekend bag.

Used Neatsfoot Oil for the first time on our Oxblood 3 piece. Great stuff. Listened to all the comments about putting too much on, and 3 piece turning darker etc . All we did was put it on and and wipe excess off the next day.great stuff.did suite twice to make sure. left it a little darker ,but nice shine. like new.It was so good i did the car seats as well. Car now looks new again. I'm going round looking for things to do with Neatsfoot Oil. will definitely use this again. After you use it for the first time you will only have to use as and when on areas of suite that get used the most .

Been using this for over 50years on saddlery,and boots. Very good product, which I find effective.

I bought this for my walking boots as they are looking a bit dry in places around the toes.I love the smell of it and it's very easy to use. I used to use this on horse tack when I helped my sister with her ponies and horses so I knew it would be a quality product. The tin arrived in perfect conditin and the contents have proved to be very beneficial after just a couple of applications.

This item arrived as expected. Quite a large quantity for what I needed.I Used it to soften shoes that were rubbing.My father used use this on our new stuff school shoes, thought I’d give it a try.

I've used this on my patrol boots. Works really well. But dont use round the eyelets. It makes the leather super soft and if used on the eyelets they can rip out when you pull your laces.Perfect to use an hour before you apply wax oil to your boots.

I have been using this to keep some leather recliner chairs in good condition. Recliners tend to 'crack' the leather on the foot section at the points where they bend and straighten. After applying this, and leaving for about 15 minutes to soak into the leather, the cracking appears much improved. After several applications a few days apart, and the cracks and creasing are almost gone. Note that this does not repair tears in the leather, but I have used a leather repair and then this product, and the repaired area looks good and feels more subtle.

The oil itself I can't fault but how the oil had remained in the can is a mystery as it arrived looking like it had been dragged behind a car for a few miles!

This stuff is great, really restores the suppleness of your leather. Use very sparingly though as instructed, thin layers eliminate oil splotching which can happen with any oil based product on leather. I used in tandem with mink oil after neatsfoot oil compound dries. One or 2 applications does the trick.
