It's a dog leash and flashlight in one Lights the path in front of dogs for nighttime safety Makes cleanup easy, too A clever solution that illuminates the path in front of dogs during nighttime walks. The solar powered flashlight stores energy during the day, then switches on at night for easier walking in the dark. The flashlight attaches directly to the leash, so it's always pointing in the same direction the dog is walking, and there's no need to carry a separate flashlight. Lead is made of strong nylon with a padded handle for comfort.

Sehr empfehlenswert!

Bright, high-quality SOLAR flashlight, securely attached to a high quality leash. Easy to Use, and No Batteries--woohoo!
Let me start off by saying that this really is a good quality product. It was a steal at the Amazon price (approx 1/3 of retail).Since I am writing the first review, I wanted to share a lot of detail,I truly need to have a convenient flashlight for dog walking. I work an overnight shift, so during winter there is no good time for a daylight walk. For the last 3 years I have relied on the Kong combination flashlight/bag holder for nighttime walks. I was lucky to get that much use out of it. The concept was smart; but the construction was cheap, and the design was horrible. It used expensive watch batteries and kept falling off the leash. (Check the reviews. Kong makes great products, with the exception of that one. I intend to review that item separately, because I am so intimately familiar with its poor design and quality.)When I starting looking for something better, I couldn't find anything. I saw a bunch of those retractable leashes with a flashlight built into the handle, but there's no way I'd ever use that type of leash to walk a 65 pound dog.I tried carrying a mini-flashlight, but I had a hard enough time just managing poop bags without having to dig out a flashlight every time my dog decided to squat. Then there were the places where I needed a flashlight just to see where we were walking. Even with a wrist strap, I'd usually end up dropping it at some point in the walk. The flashlight was dangling from my wrist, so it was always in the way at the wrong time. I would have to (1) handle the leash, sometimes with my dog pulling away from me; (2) manage the flashlight; then (3) try to open up a poop bag and pick up my dog's "presents". Since I have only two ("2") hands, and it can take 2 hands just to open up the dreaded poop bag, you can see why I might actually prefer to fumble around in the dark. The PatentoPet leash was the only real alternative I could find (at least on Amazon), and since it was so inexpensive, I figured I had nothing to lose.I was pleasantly surprised at how well made it was. I have been using this leash for 2 months, and it has proven to be durable and easy to use.The flashlight is REALLY bright, which is a good thing. I didn't expect that level of brightness from a solar-powered light. The light is can be clicked on or off with a simple EASY-TO-FIND push button. (The easy to find aspect is particularly important when it's dark out and you're wearing gloves. I always had to search for the push button on the Kong flashlight, even after using it for years!)The flashlight is firmly attached to the leash. At first it appeared to be permanently riveted to the leash; but upon closer look, I found that the flashlight slides onto a plate that is riveted to the leash. In addition, there is a sliding latch that locks the flashlight in place, so it won't inadvertently slide off the plate. It is tricky to slide the flashlight off and back onto the plate, and I wouldn't suggest doing it while walking your dog (it kind of defeats the whole purpose of the product). But if you want to wash the leash, the flashlight can be removed at that time. The flashlight is "splash resistant" according to the website; but I wouldn't attempt to immerse it in water, let alone run it through a washing machine. In my experience, the flashlight does hold up well to rain and snowSince it is so well attached to the leash, you can choose whether to hold and aim the light, or to just let it go If you have the looped handle around your wrist, you don't have to worry about dropping the flashlight when you need your hands for other tasks. The brightness of the light still allow you to see where you're going or what you are doing. That may not sound like much, but it can be pretty convenient at times (e.g. when getting out a poop bag, or when walking down steps that are not well lit). The only way to drop the flashlight is to drop the end of the leash itself. I have done this several times at the end of a walk, and the flashlight is perfectly intact. There is no battery compartment to come loose, and the body and bulb of the flashlight is well integrated and sturdy.Although I prefer the feel and handling of my leather leash, this woven nylon leash is smooth and well made, and the length is adjustable up to 6 feet. The leash is also attractive. I purchased it in red, which features silver reflective stitching and black nylon edging. I don't know how visible the stitching is from a distance, but it does reflect light.I have nothing bad to say about this product. I would love see this company design a similar flashlight that I could attach to my leather leash, but there is probably no reason for them to do so.

Great way to feel safer on night walks
Great way to feel safer on night walks. Sadly my dog chewed through it in less then two months. The leash is not very durable, only took a few seconds of chewing to sever the leash into two pieces. I would buy it again once my puppy gets over his chewing stage.
