Bargain and great specs
Got these as spares. Look very good. Have a 85 degree C temperature rating; that's 185 F. That's what I need in Texas, since the outdoor unit get very hot in the sun. Ordered these on 8/2 and received them on 8/5. More than adequate for use as spares. These will be my likely choice for backup caps in the future. I have 2 condenser units and 2 spare caps, so I am good for awhile... Knock on wood. ***Update on 7/8/2016, installed the first unit. I will watch how it lasts. FYI this replaced the contractor installed capacitor that caused me to order these. So that one lasted almost 3 years, even though it was pretty rusted on the top surface and didn't have the temperature rating these have. Hope they live up to my expectations. ***Update on 6/1/2018, replaced the second unit. These seem to work well. Unfortunately, as my outdoor units age, I think the frequency of replacement will increase. The technician that replaced, while I was out of town noted that the part was dated 2013. I think these are a great value for the price and performance.

Do-it-yourself maintenance/repair.
After pricing an HVAC technician's service call fee plus inflated part cost, I decided to see if I could fix the problem (A/C blowing room-temp air; remote unit fan not turning, though the condenser was working). My a/c is 5 years old. It turns out that the first thing to go out in most air conditioning units (this applies mostly to the condenser unit) is the capacitor. (Second thing is the contactor, which I also bought on Amazon.) I bought an entry-level multi-meter (Klein Tools mm200 -- $37.22 on Amazon); learned how to use it for simple HVAC issues; bought the part from Amazon; and replaced the capacitor myself. Cost (not including the multi-meter): $11.33. Result: My a/c is running like new. When the contactor comes in, I'll replace it, too (and keep the original as a back-up part). There are a lot of dishonest HVAC techs; and there are a lot of honest ones. Even if you don't intend to replace parts like this yourself, it pays to understand how your units work and what the easy-to-replace parts are (and how much they cost). It's like dealing with a car salesman: know the answers before you ask the questions. Anyway, for a basic-level do-in-yourselfer, this is an easy and inexpensive job that will save you a lot of money.

I learned that these units can save you hundreds of $$$ in HVAC problems
Didn't give it 5 stars because I didn't use it yet, because I purchased this as a backup. After recently having my HVAC unit go out and using a HVAC professional. Since then I did a lot of research on youtube on how to fix these units and was successful in doing so, and learning a lot of what usually goes out and how to repair them. What I learned was that the capacitors usually goes out and they are very inexpensive to repair a unit; I learn this the hard way. Like I said before the guy came to my house changed the Capacitor, and I believe it was working( the old ones last much longer than the new ones) then he charged my unit and charged me $275. 2 weeks later my unit went out again and I discovered through my education of Youtube that it was the condenser fan motor, lucky I didn't call him back as he requested. But most of these guys are good but their are bad ones out there too, so keep these around. So if the guy comes by and changes your capacitor ask him for the old one; I wish I did!

Great for a DIY fix if this is why your A/C isn't working.
Saves a $100 visit from the A/C repairman . . . if this is your problem. This summer, after a storm, we had a quick on/off power surge and the A/C stopped working. The same thing happened last yare and we paid an A/C business to come out and basically do the same thing. They charged us around $75 for the service call and at least $75 for the part (typical of this kind of business to charge 4x list price most places -- just the way the industry rolls right now.) This time, I pulled the cap and tested the capacitance on both contacts and discovered one was showing 0 microfarads. Found this replacement for less than $15 and we were up and running. This is one instance of a part that is easily a DIY project for anyone who takes the time to watch a few Youtube instructional videos on A/C troubleshooting. Anything bigger (like replacing the coolant or motor or compressor) will probably be best left to the professionals with the better (expensive) tools and experience.

My ac unit chews through these
They work fine and plug and play easy. My ac loves to eat these up because of its age. But the product is perfect fix until I can afford a new system

Great to keep on hand!
I personally make sure I know what capacitor is in my ac unit and keep a spare on hand. They always go out in the middle of summer and I will not pay an ac professional $$$$ for a holiday weekend night service call when a capacitor is $20 and only take a few minutes to swap out!
