I like the fact that water doesn't get through the third brake light anymore. Quality could be a little better. Let's see how long it lasts?

I got the dreaded water stain on the headliner. Priced a new 3rd brake light assembly and then saw this product. This gasket is just as advertised. I think its a very good quality and well packaged. I found the hardest part of replacing the gasket was cleaning away the old gasket. I first plucked it away. However, the old foam gasket separates from the adhesive strip that sticks the gasket to the light assembly. This leaves behind a very rough surface. I then used a narrow wood chisel to clean it flush. And then I used an citrus based adhesive remover and cleaned up with rubbing alcohol. I put the new gasket in place and we just had rain. Seems to be working just fine. I think this product rocks.

I ordered this for a 2016 F150 Lariat. The shape of the gasket is a perfect fit for replacement. As stated in the product description the material is thicker than the OEM gasket and also stiffer. This gasket material is 0.5 CM thick. This causes my tail light housing to stick out from the cab and not sit flush as it did with the OEM gasket. See pictures. If you are wanting your light housing to sit flush as it did with the OEM gasket I would not advise buying this particular gasket.

The best thing about this product is the extra gasket material that can be used in other applications.
