Sweet Keychain EDC Light !!!
I always like having a keychain EDC light on me vs a penlight style. I usually use the light on my phone, but I just like to have a small backup. I have been using the Streamlight Nanolight for several years. I really like the light and its size, but the output is a little anemic in some situations. The i1R2 is just a little bit bigger than the Nano but the light output is much more powerful. I like that the light has a 2 stage brightness levels without having to program a switch. Tighten the lens slightly and the low power light comes on. Tighten it a little further and the light goes to the high power mode. Very intuitive and it works the way you would expect it to. The twist style feature is the same as the Nano and I was concerned about both turning on in my pocket, but that has never been an issue. The construction of the OLight is top notch as all of their products have been. It's case is aluminum, nicely knurled, and black anodized. I really like the usb-c charging port. I always have a charger around and it's nice not having to worry about batteries. Unscrewing the lens end reveals the charging port. There is a light spring that opens it fully once it is unthreaded a few turns. The lens does not unscrew completely, but remains captive which is nice. There is also the requisite "O"-ring for twist resistance and keeps the electronics free of moisture. The threads grab easily when closing up the charging port and do not feel as though they could be stripped out. There is a small key ring on the tailpiece to attach to my keychain or it could be used with a lanyard.I just started using the light so I can not say what the durability and longevity are, but Olight products have a reputation for quality so I am not too concerned. You can never have too many flashlight! This one is very nice, give it a try.

Feels solid and is bright
Decided to pick up a small keychain flashlight for camping and this was great. I'll definitely use it for other things as well. It's great to have a backup light as I usually use my phones flashlight. The only thing that's weird is the text on the bottom is opposite to what actually needs to be done. For example, the bottom says "off" on the left, "low" in the middle, and "high" on the right side. But to turn off the flashlight I actually have to turn it to the right, not the left like it shows and to turn it to high I actually have to turn it to the left to get the brightest mode. Probably just a printing error.

Love this compact, convenient little flashlight!!
This is a great keychain flashlight, and amazingly bright for its size. It has a low and height setting and is rechargeable. I did order a second one as the first one had an issue where it would turn on if I screwed it down just barely. This light turns on and off by screwing it down on the threads; or you can unscrew it ‘entirely’ to expose the charging port. (Doesn’t actually come apart… there’s a stop to prevent it from separating.) When done charging, you screw it down a few threads to hide/protect the charging port. The problem with the first one I had is that when I screwed it down just a touch, to hide the charge port, it would turn on. So I couldn’t hide the port anymore and had to leave it so the threads weren’t engaged and the charge port was exposed. Not really that bad of a function thing.. the light still worked great. I’ve got high hopes for the second one. But I use this so much and it has such impressive brightness for a little guy, I’m getting another one.

bright for such a small flashlight!
after buying the olight mini i saw this and had to get it considering it was only twice the size of the mini and 17x brighter than the olight mini. love it. buy this one lol.

Best smallest flashlight
You wouldn't expect this tiny little flashlight to be so bright. Easy to use and can easily charge it anywhere, comes in handy and its smaller than my pinky. Great for keychain.

finish doesn't hold up but otherwise great light
This has been on my keychain (carabiner on belt loop) since the day I bought it and I love it. I had (and still have, buried in my bag as a backup backup) the old version of this light. Had it for about a year, saw this and decided to upgrade (mini usb as a thing needs to just go away). Aside from the finish being scuffed and the split ring it came with getting a bit rusty, my old iR2 still works fine. The iR2 Pro is slightly longer, slightly wider, and slightly heavier than the old one. But it's barely noticeable, even in side by side comparison. The trade off of size/weight is more than made up for by more battery life, more lumens, more candela, and usb c charging.I charge this light about every two weeks or so just make sure it's topped off (and it usually turns green after a few minutes except in cases where I have been using the light a lot through day to day). I have never once gone to use it and found it dead. I have not ever really even noticed it being low/weak. I have gone in swimming pools, lakes, and the ocean with this thing and can confirm it a) is waterproof & b) works underwater. I have dropped this from heights well over 10 feet onto a concrete floor several times (I'm up and down a ladder all day at work). Aside from maybe some new scuffs/scratches on the outer finish (which is already wrecked, more on that in a second) it shows no impact to functionality. These comments from people talking about how they dropped it once and it broke are either employees of a rival company or are grossly underestimating the distance they dropped it.The finish / paint is completely gone on about 50% of it and is scuffed on the remainder (remember I mentioned it being on a carabiner). This light lives on a key ring with three keys and a flat bar multitool so it gets rubbed quite a bit. If this were available in an anodized / unpainted / "primer" finish I would buy several of them and be set for life.
