Well my chafing set arrived in what appears to be excellent condition--- all parts seem ding-free so far. I say "so far" because I can't pull the pans and the lids apart, so I haven't given them a full inspection yet. Bummer! That's why the 4-star rating. I'll call the seller (or Amazon) to get this resolved. If, once apart, there are dings in the product, then I'll update my review.

These were great for my birthday party. I read the reviews and was really afraid to buy them. However I am glad I did. Yes it was a little hard to get the pans apart. I used a screw driver and a towel so as not to scratch the pans. These are NOT HEAVY DUTY for caterers. These are for home use. I have used mine 3 times already since 10/30/22. Please beware that you must put enough water in the bottom or your pans or they will burn. BE SMART PEOPLE !! I filled my pans with water until they touched the inserted pans . That was more than enough water to last for 3hrs. Also you have a cover to adjust the flame my food stayed pipping hot with only half of the flame exposed. I did not heat my water first . I poured in the water put the lid on lit the flame below and in 15 minutes the water was boiling . Then placed hot dishes in racks. I love that they can be folder flat after you take the 2 tiny screws back out.I am so pleased with this product. I would suggest opening them immediately to make sure they are not bent. Some of the pans were a little bent on the edge that's why it was difficult to get them a part. But not severely damaged . I just bent the small edge back. Very well packaged. The only negative was the ugly sticker they put on the lid. I had to get some Goo Gone and it took about a half hour to get the labels off all six lids. I would definitely purchase these again.

This served its purpose, but there is a reason it is cheaper than many others. It was tough to get out of packaging as other reviews have stated. The screws for the lid handles do not line up so we ended up just using foil as we had no time to try and figure out how to solve that issue. I’m fact, there weren’t enough screw caps to use the lids had the holes lined up anyway… They looked nice and kept the food warm in the buffet line, which was the goal, and we will use them again. Hoping to figure out the lid issue before our next event. Be sure to give yourself ample time before intending to use to unbox and set everything up. A coupe of days would be best incase there are any problems you need to navigate. We opened day off event and it set us back in set up schedule and created added stress, which we now laugh about, quite drastically.

These hold up well if set up correctly. I used these for My bday and loved them.The metal stand does have sharp edges that cut my finger alittle deep, enough to leave a little noticeable scar so you'll have to be careful when setting up or taking apart. You can use a sand paper sheet and sand down the edges to smooth it out, not a huge problem. Trays are a good size. Perfect for parties and to make everything look alittle fancier and nicer!

I used them for a baby shower

Bases were not very sturdy, did arrive promptly but when I tried to return them was going to be charged half of the purchase price, will not use this provider again.
