Why doesn't it read my fingerprint? Do I need to do something special?

Go to settings and increase the sensitivity of the fingerprint reader. Fortunately I did not have to do that on mine.

Where to purchase just the screen protector without the applying gadget

I havecthe same question. Once you buy the applicator, there's no need for another one. Why pay for it more than once?

You can see the screen but it has a rainbow tint to it with the polarized sunglasses.

It is described as case friendly. I bought it and it worked fine. You can try it and if it doesn't work, return it and try something else.
