Noticed the pool sweep doing tight circles and upon inspection saw only the main drive wheel working going forward, the other wheel only working in reverse. Diagnosed the issue to be the drive shaft worn enough to slip in forward. This part is the fix!! Cheap and easy. Very fast shipping.

See updates…. Easy 5 minute install after confiding in YouTube videos. Forth day and still working. Hope it lasts a couple years. Rebel was unable to drive straight lines and was stuck in the deep end making only right hand turns. Update - lower a star because the black gear in the white casing locked up in my ultra clean and balanced pool after 6 days. Took out the gear box to find the black gear in the white housing had too much resistance to allow the drive to turn. Replacement on the way, so we will see…. UPDATE on replacement… NOPE. Three days after placing new replacement gear it began to lock up and my Rebel was moving in super slo-mo. That black gear in the white casing failed on this one as well. Poor bearings maybe or the lube used? I put the original white gear housing with the white gear back inside and just used the long black driver… been working fine for weeks. During reinstall I broke the dang main lock tab on the outside of the Rebel. F! You can likely find the six inch ‘dowel’ gear somewhere else for less. SMH that’s really all it needed.

Exact same issue as described on the previous review. Worked for a couple of weeks, but noticed it wasn’t working today.Took it apart a few times and finally figured out the black gear/bearing wasn’t spinning freely like the old one.

It's great when you can see how easy these pieces are to install. This worked for me for about 2 weeks then when i looked in the pool this morning, it was stuck, not moving at all. After pulling things apart I saw that the drive mechanism would freeze up and would not allow the wheels to turn at all.When i replaced the the white piece with the black center with the old one, the cleaner began to move again. I am waiting for the replacement part to see if it lasts longer this time. Otherwise, i need to get a full refund and try a different provider.A lot better than replacing the entire cleaner. Give it a try.

Easy Peasy!Pool shop wanted $240 to "rebuild"...this took about 5 minutes to install....did a youtube video before and then it was a piece of cake...just give it a TRY!

The unit was 2 days past the return window. The bearings had locked up. I think the salt water caused this but it is a pool and should be designed for this application. Very disappointed 😞

My husband is handy so it was easy enough for him to replace the part. Fixed our pool cleaners issue of barely moving/getting stuck in circles.

This item fit just right but the bearing seized up after a couple weeks. The shaft did work just fine so I used the original bearing that was on the pool cleaner with the new shaft and seems to be working fine now but we will see how long it lasts
