Great product
The belt was slightly longer that what I originally had in place. I had to use a hammer and flat screw driver to undo the steel plate holding the belt and the connector together and removed about a foot then put it back together the way it was before. The steel plate doesn't look very new anymore but it's out of sight anyway.I never did anything with garage doors before and I was able to replace my damaged old belt with this one. It's been over six months now and it's working perfectly. Noise level when the garage door is operated is very low. I am happy with the purchase.

not to be intimidated if have to pry metal keeper and shorten belt if too long.
Item had in box what was needed to replace old belt. seems well made, has metalic fiber strands in the core of the belt. replaced on a liftmaster which i measured old belt at arount 119". I found the easiest way to replace was to fully close door and slide door closed until locked to the opening track. from there position end links to the position where found. I would have scored 5 stars however the new belt was about 3 inches too long. this required prying away the compression clasp around the end of the belt. since metal originally pressed, a little force needed to lossen enough to move shorter to keep belt tigh as it should be. once pryed loose, i used a vice to recompress the fitting to the proper length and it holds very well and for the manufacturer, i dought that many belts fit exact so might be better off not to compress that end and allow the buyers to press to the correct length needed. Either way I didnt get too rattled simply because had to change lenght of metal clasp. was no big deal and guess what, it even works! Good luck with yours. last thought. if you have to shorten, cut off short part of belt behond clasp as it serves no purpose

Worked great!
Our garage door would not lift due yo wear and tear on the belt and my husband single- handedly replaced it. The garage door works just like new after he installed the belt.
