You still need to remove the fut manually. The retraction of the bristles is a great feature.

This brush does a great job and removing loose hair and the option to click the button to retract the combs makes it very easy to remove the hair and dispose of it. My cat even tolerates it! She’s 16 and has never liked being brushed but this doesn’t seem to annoy her (as much).

I have a very fluffy puffball siberian cat who has to be brushed daily. She likes brushing so it's not a struggle by any means. This brush does the job. I like the self cleaning aspect. It's very large though. The cats kind of look at it like, "you're going to do what with that?!" There's really no telling how cats will be with a brush until you try it. This one seems gentle enough.

Great brush for your cat or dog. It may be a bit wide for a cat but mine seems to like it. Bristles seem a bit sharp but again my cat enjoys it so I guess they aren't sharp enough to hurt them. the little trigger that releases and hides the bristles is easy to use and easy to clean the hair out once retracted. Simple and seems pretty sturdy.

The bursh is a good design and the angled handle is useful! The handle material is plastic but still works well enough.

This dog grooming brush is lightweight. It clicks when you press the button, and the bristles will come out. When you want to remove the dog hair, just click the button again. It does appear to work, but it doesn't seem to be a long-term product. The brush doesn't feel like it is made with high quality parts. The bristles are not hard, and they seem to be somewhat flexible. It did not pull the hair or scratch our dog. I would recommend this for a pet that doesn't have tangled or knotted fur but loves to be brushed.

I have two medium sized dogs. One is short-haired and the other has medium fur (part sheltie). Neither one liked this brush. The combs/metal bristles may be too fine for them, and they don't like the feel. The brush I use now for them has thicker metal bristles. While I like the concept of the metal bristles retracting back in the brush for easy cleaning, the metal bristles did not retract all the way into the brush, and I still had to pull out the fur. I gave this product a three, since the item is nice, it's just not right for my dogs.
