Less than a month in and this has already become a daily counter staple. A standard stick of butter fits right in with no squeezing or extra room, and the lid has a great, snug seal so it’s not just sitting out exposed.The French butter crock design is doing exactly what it’s supposed to: the butter stays soft and spreadable without melting into a puddle, which was my main frustration with just leaving a stick out on a plate.The ceramic itself feels sturdy and well made in hand, not thin or flimsy like some of the cheaper butter dishes I’ve tried. No trade-offs to report so far, it’s been simple and consistent every single day.

Works well with wide butter packs like Kerry Gold or will even accommodate two sticks of butter. Very sturdy build and secures butter nicely.

This butter boat has generous dimensions, allowing for 2 sticks of butter to be stored in the boat.The ceramic is heavy , of quality. The color and the pricing is good. The flat lid means that a butter knife can rest on the surface.I would def purchase again.

Great product, good quality. Keeps butter fresh. Wish it had a handle on top to lift lid. My last two nice porcelain butter dishes cracked or I dropped it right above the sink. This lid is heavy and usually my hands are greasy and I pick up the lid very carefully. A handle on the top would have made it easier to handle but this was designed for a modern expensive looking addition to your kitchen. I don’t know how long it will take to slip out of my hands and break, my last porcelain dish slipped out of my hand a few inches above the sink and broke. The one before that broke the bottom of the dish in the dish washer. Holds two sticks of butter which is nice. Very easy to clean. I love the way it looks and it’s handsome design but when this one breaks I will return to plastic or stainless steel. Would make a great gift.

This is a well made butter container. It is very heavy, and I am concerned that it may be dropped when moving to the fridge. It easily holds all four sticks of butter in a pound package, but only the longer sticks, not the shorter ones that are so usually found today.
