Can be challenging
Revitalised an aging iMac. Now loads quickly. The installation and transfer of data can be a challenge to the computer novice but superb support from the supplier gives great results.

Good piece of kit, with more or less everything you need.
I bought this conversion kit following the death on fusion drive on our Mac 2017 Retina. Was fairly nervous about peeling the screen of the thing, but the kit included everything required and the companion video was helpful and comprehensive. The screen suction devices were excellent and a cloth is included to wipe off any marks they leave. There is also a tool to help remove residue from the old adhesive which was very useful. The only tool I need that wasn't included was a small cross head screw driver to fix the SSD into the supplied enclosure. The process itself turned out to be fairly straightforward as long as you keep basic cautionary practices in mind (don't touch what you don't need to, de-static yourself). When replacing the screen using the supplied adhesive strips I found I was left with a small gap between the apple panel and the screen. It's tricky to get the screen in exactly the right position, and once layed down it's not coming off again!Only negative comment is the price was slightly inflated compared to a separate SSD and a "bare" kit (from another supplier that looked very similar).Oh and, although the supplied information suggested the drive would be ready for OS install, I did have to format it before proceeding, but quick and easy to do.
