This strap is perfect for my one year old who is just starting to feed himself and wants to play the "drops" game.

I like the idea of this - its silicone so its easy to wash. That is a benefit over the braided elastic straps that I've been using. The only problem is that my baby always finds a way to bust her spoon out of the grip part. Unfortunately it didn't work for us.

You’ll need to attach your own utensil to this holder but it works great at keeping little one’s utensils from ending up on the floor!Works with both baby utensils as well as more toddler style utensils like the one I attached.My toddler will tend to throw his utensils or accidentally drop them since he’s still learning, and these are especially useful for using when out at restaurants. Never thought of putting a spoon on the end of a tether. Not sure how this is going to work. Be aware that even though a spoon is pictured on the product page, the spoon is NOT included. There is a place on the end of the tether where the utensil can be attached, as long as the handle is fairly stocky. This is made in China.
