Sound great, no ANC but I can't hear anything outside of them when I have them in.
The KZ x HBB PR2 in-ear monitor headphones have redefined my perception of audio quality. With their 13.2mm planar magnetic driver, these wired in-ear headphones deliver a listening experience that is nothing short of extraordinary. This is my first set of IEMs, I have several pair or BT earbuds that are good but these sound better. I also have had dozens of over ear (typically open-back) headphones ranging from Beyer's, AKG, Stax, HiFi Man and Sennheiser, currently have the HD800.Sound Quality (5/5): Let's start with the most critical aspect - sound quality. The 13.2mm planar magnetic driver in these headphones is an absolute marvel. It produces stunningly clear and detailed audio across the entire frequency range. From deep, rumbling bass to crystal-clear highs, the PR2s capture every nuance of your music. Whether you're a fan of classical, rock, or electronic music, these in-ear monitors excel in reproducing it faithfully.Build Quality (4/5): The PR2s feature a well-crafted, ergonomic design that fits comfortably in the ears. The housing feels robust and durable, and the detachable cable adds to their longevity. While the build quality is generally excellent, I'd recommend handling them with care to ensure their longevity.Comfort (5/5): Wearing these in-ear monitors for extended periods is a breeze. They come with multiple ear tips of different sizes to ensure a secure and comfortable fit. Once properly fitted, they stay in place without causing any discomfort, making them suitable for long listening sessions.Isolation (5/5): The noise isolation capabilities of the PR2s are impressive. They effectively block out external noise, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in your music. Whether you're on a noisy commute or in a crowded café, you'll appreciate the isolation these headphones provide.Cable (4/5): The included detachable cable is a nice touch, as it allows for easy replacement or customization. However, it can be a bit prone to tangling, so it's essential to handle it with care. Nevertheless, the option to upgrade to a higher-quality cable is a plus for audiophiles.Value (5/5): The KZ x HBB PR2 in-ear monitors offer exceptional value for their price point. They compete with high-end headphones in terms of sound quality but come at a fraction of the cost. If you're looking for audiophile-grade sound without breaking the bank, these headphones are an excellent choice. Conclusion: In summary, the KZ x HBB PR2 in-ear monitor headphones are a revelation in the world of audio. Their 13.2mm planar magnetic driver, superb sound quality, comfortable fit, and excellent noise isolation combine to create a listening experience that will leave you in awe. Whether you're a music enthusiast or a professional, these headphones deliver a level of performance that far exceeds their modest price tag. They've become my go-to choice for immersive, high-fidelity listening, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone in search of audio excellence on a budget.

The IEM's that can be great
I got the iems today and at first wasn't impressed by the sound they appeared very sparkley with the highs and mids, bass seemed non existent. I then noticed after listening to them that the audio cable I had reversed and placed on the wrong buds. After swapping the mic sided cable to the right bud and the no mic side to the left bud they sound amazing, with good bass, good mids, and the shrill highs aren't ridiculously over done anymore. Don't know if anyone else noticed this or if this should even be a problem but it solved my issue. I do really like the balanced sound but buyer beware you do need more than your cellphone to run these properly unless your phone like my LG has a quad dac built into the phone. If you're looking for a bass heavy iem this is not the one this set of iem is for if you just want a clear listening experience that's not overdone. I would give 5 stars if the cable issue hadn't come up they are not marked left or right. I'll update if this changes.

Incredible Value for the Money
While not an audiophile by any means, I love myself a good pair of wired headphones. And when I saw the words 'planar magnetic' and the price for these at the time (around $45), I immediately pulled the trigger as I had never owned a set of planars before. And wow, they did not disappoint! Highs are crisp and not piercing, even on notes that might make me grit my teeth on some other headphones that I own. Mids feel detailed and present, and the bass is punchy and a bit amplified; probably what I would imagine described as a "V" shaped sound signature. These also feel like there is a very palpable sub-bass that is present, if you can imagine the rumble that might come from a subwoofer that is not detectable on many of my much more expensive wired or wireless headsets. I know people craving reference headphones with a flat curve being disappointed by this, but I personally don't mind as much since I view these as "fun" headphones. But what impresses so much about these IEMs is just how open and detailed they sound. If you close your eyes and try to listen for individual instruments and vocal placement, you can almost pick out their locations on a stage. For this price range, this is absolutely incredible to me; as an arbitrary comparison, the 1st gen $149 OnePlus Buds Pro sound suffocatingly stereo compared to the PR2. It's the difference between a 2-speaker theater system and a full 5.1 surround sound setup. Bravo. One thing to note -as others have said- you'll likely need a DAP with either an integrated or external DAC, as these headphones are thirsty for power and quite hard to drive. On a budget LG V50 setup with a dedicated DAC, I have to crank the volume to around 90% if I want the music loud. For regular listening, 75-80% is usually more than satisfactory, so keep in mind that your mileage may vary. While I know there's definitely much higher quality IEMs out there, for this price I would be surprised if the HBB PR2s could be beat. Kudos to KZ for this release; I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this brand from now on.Reviewed after around 60 hours of listening time, using primarily 24 and some 32-bit FLAC files.5/5

Incredible iems, punch way above their price range
I have used these now for a few days and I can without a doubt say they are an incredible value. Fast, punchy bass with good sub bass extension, clear mids, and forward treble without being sibilant or over the top. These have good soundstage, and ludicrous amounts of detail. These are decently large due to being planar drivers and so are a little less "sleek" than standard iems but the trade off is totally worthwhile in my opinion. These are pretty competitive sounding to my focal elegias, which were $500 I might add. I highly doubt you can get anything that will straight up outclass these for under $200, possibly even more.

Competes with planar iens double or triple the cost
First off, let me state for the record, that I already own 2 sets of planar iems. I have the 7hz Timeless and the Letsshuoer Z12. Both are great, but the PR2 is just as good (if not better in many ways) than the aforementioned, and at a lower price. They DO require some power, but if you supply it, they can easily outperform more expensive planar iems costing almost 3 times as much. They sound amazing on my Fiio Q5s in high gain, though the 4.4 balanced output. Don't miss my speaker based home audio setup at all!

Amazing Planar IEM At A Budget Price
It's hard to believe that the world of personal audio is advancing so quickly. Audio technology has progressed from expensive planar headphones to budget priced planar iems in just a few years. The amount of detail presented by these iems is wonderful provided you provide some additional power. I run these with my Fiiio Q1 and they just sing!
