Safe and simple
Needed this for mum due to spilling and dysphagia. Worked so well we bought another one. Good quality and good value for money. Only downsides are lack of alternative colours and the cup is a bit smaller than a standard cup....so smaller cups of tea.

Really useful for an elderly person
We bought this cup when our elderly parent injured her hand and could not hold a normal mug because it was too heavy and it was too risky to hold. This cup is light, and it does not get hot due to the shape of the inner area, which is small and takes a smaller amount of liquid as a result. We found it was a good idea to have a teapot nearby to refill the cup.It comes with two tops and we found the one that has a hole to place a straw to be the much better option. With the fixed lid you would need to tilt the cup whereas with the straw option, especially if you use an elastic straw, you would not need to tilt the cup and only bend the straw. The handles on both sides are also a great addition. The lid closes well enough but I would not say it's very tight.Overall, I am really happy with the design and it we found it really useful for our parent.

Very sturdy lid.
Nice beaker. Lid fits tight so no chance of spilage unless tipped. Also resembles a normal cup more.

Very sturdy and, most importantly, lid fits tightly.
Bought this for my mum who has dementia plus a condition (not Parkinson's) that causes her hands to shake. The lids fit very securely so there is no risk of them falling off when hot liquids are in the cup. A choice of two lids. This cup is insulated so that liquids stay warm/cold for a long time. Very important when elderly tend to leave their drinks. Extremely happy with this cup.

Not leak proof
Bought two of these and the lids do not provide a tight seal on the lid. I thought they would be like ones in hospitals however they are not. Disappointed

The lid with the hole for the straw - misfit
The lid with the hole in it for the straw doesn't fit on properly. If it was to drop the lid wouldn't stay in place. Why can't this lid fit like the one with the spout?
