This was my first book by Mila Kane, and it's safe to say I'm hooked! This story had everything I could ask for. Sophia, a sheltered mafia princess, crosses paths with Nikolai, a Bratva heir who is intense, controlling, brutal, merciless, unhinged, and a killer. Nikolai is determined to make Sophia his, and their story ends on a jaw-dropping cliff hanger. I can't wait for the second part.This well-written tale is raw, gritty, and intense. It's packed with action, suspense, danger, and intrigue. The story weaves together themes of family, trust, emotions, and love, with a generous dose of witty banter, humour, drama, and steamy moments. Absolutely Loved Nikolai and Sophias story and how he calls her his prom queen! He is unhinged and wanted her after one meeting as teenagers and decided she was his even though they were from enemy families. The cliffhanger was intense can’t wait to start the next!

Nikolai is a dangerous man that is one of the most savage even in his brutal world. After reading about him in the previous duets, which I also recommend, I was ecstatic that we were getting a story with him as the lead. The unhinged ones are always the best to read about. He’s possessive from the jump once meeting our MFC Sophia and although she does some stuff that I wasn’t happy about I get it so wasn’t too unhappy. We have multiple bad guys in this and I loved it while loathing them. I really enjoyed the writing. Prepare though as once you finish this you will have no choice but to read the 2nd part - so clear you day to be ready

I’m leaving this review on the third time reading this book and that ending hits different every single time! Nikolai is OTT protective! I love it and he doesn’t even look at another woman after he meets Sophia at 17. He waits for her for 5 years and it really is amazingly beautiful in a he touched you so here’s his hand sort of way 😅😘

i lost sleep over this book , if im to choose a good story for a movie it would absolutely be this one , so excited for book 2

I was so happy to read something of this genre which had a different perspective and unconventional relationship. But it just took too long and lost momentum for me. I believed in the love that Nicki had for Sofia and I am sure that the mayhem will continue in book two. I am not rushing to download it today.

Really liked this after the hockey bully romance novels I’ve read from this author.Want to read on to find out what happened and what next for Nikolai and Sofia
