Such a poor item and service!
Lamp didn't work when I eventually managed to find replacement bulb - suppliers couldn't tell which bulb to use - etc.

Allow them to burn out first time outside.. then your good to go.
I have the 1000w and 3x 500w I’ve used them in my studio with no problems at all.. regards the mentioned fumes.. when you first turn them on, do it outside on full power until they stop smoking... that’s that problem solved. To change the bulb, yes took me a while to work out too! But you kinda just push the top past the clip and flip open. They are not Arri lights they are also not the price of Arri lights keep this in mind and you will be more than happy. Another tip.. buy yourself some Heat proof gloves to make small adjustments when on. I’ve really enjoyed using them when I’ve needed to, really can make those 1950’s Hollywood style photo’s. Next time I set them up I’m going to shoot film. I’ve had to call their customer service line too... (I’ve bought lots of soft boxes from these guys) they were friendly and helpful. I will most certainly be buying more products in the future.
