Remove the spring with rubber on the end.
Remove the spring from the inside that has a piece of rubber on the end. I think they're perfect after you remove the spring. Don't remove anything else. Just the spring with rubber. That's all. Wish I knew that before I started. The little metal post stays in there.

So far so good, talk to me in a few months.

High Pressure
Needed low pressure. Easy to modify. Just unscrewed and removed the rubber stopper. Works great.

Unfortunately didn’t work.
Bought for a mister machine. Unfortunately didn’t work consistently. Some nozzles worked, some didn’t. Consider the size and fit before you buy.

Sizing issues
Apparently, these are too small for my existing nozzles. I wish there was more of a uniform way of sizing these.

These won't work at 120psi
It won't even start to spray until way above 120psi... Likely 250-300psi is what this requires. If you remove the black rubber piece from the spring they work but won't be drip proof.

Great for an AC mister! Increase your AC efficiency
So my air conditioner just isn't keeping up with the 94 degree heat. I have too many big/old windows and the air conditioning company tech said the unit is a little undersized but is working perfectly. The load is just too much.I asked about the AC Misting systems I see online. He said they work but do not use reclaimed water as it'll damage the coils. So those Misting Systems are anywhere from $50 to $100. In reality, they are just simple misters with a valve to turn on when the AC is on.I had some 1/4 inch drip irrigation tubing which works perfectly with these. So I connect that to a full-pressure head connected to the water hose bib. So it puts out vaguely 80psi or so. I connected two of these T's two feet apart and then out of the last T I ran another 2 feet of line. I unscrewed one of the brass misting ends and just screwed that into the 1/4 line! Works great. The brass misting head is just screwed into some 1/4 line and pressed into the T. So using the brass head outside of the T is easy. Now, it's not a magic bullet, but the AC tech said it would "bring down the head pressure and help it be more efficient". I can't verify the head pressure since he's not been back since I did this but the AC does work a little better. I have it set to 76 degrees and it used to get to 80/81 degrees inside the house and with the misting system it gets to 79 degrees and cools off faster in the evening.I do have to remember to turn on the hose and turn it off. I set a reminder in my Alexa for that. But it works very well for me.
