The Complete Arthurian Tarot: Includes classic deck with revised and updated coursebook

These cards resonate with me. Wish the art was less dreary. Messages imparted without referring to the book. Still must use the book especially if you need a tutorial about Camelot. It's a journey.

I love this set of cards. The artwork is stunningly beautiful. The cardstock could be a little thicker, but that is only a small quibble of mine. The coursebook is the real gem here. Instead of just being a guide on what the course means, Matthews lays out a course of study that takes a bit over a year to complete, but allows you to delve into the true meaning of these cards and really connect with.I would recommend these cards to anyone (expert or novice) who enjoy the Tarot and who loves the Arthurian myths.

While I've been a Tarot card reading witch for more than 3 decades, I've got no idea what the classic meanings of each card are supposed to be. This has been my deck, and while I've had them stolen, I'll always have a replacement ready to go. This deck lends itself to reading on intuition and the pictures themselves, and I've never missed memorizing a bunch of meanings for each card. My readings tend to be blunt, but I've never given a BS reading, and everyone has always believed in what I told them, though I rarely remember it. Each picture seems to change to fit the reading, as easy for me to read as a children's picture book

I love this deck. After a week or more of shopping for a deck that I might re-visit my study of tarot this deck and book remained in my amazon cart. It is an uncanny deck and great to work with. The companion book is like a weekly practice guide to developing a relationship with the cards and symbolism with self-inquiry practices and detailed explanations of the cards in relation to the legends that inspired them.

This is an amazing deck. But I bought this version for the book that comes with it. Many years ago I bought the second edition of this deck, which has the white borders that had replaced the black borders of the first edition. That deck came with just a small guidebook.I was really excited to see that this was reprinted in a set that came with a new updated course book. I had been wanting the course book for a long time and with this I got the added bonus of seeing the cards with their original black borders. The book is great! I am loving working with it. And even though I did not think I would like the black borders on the cards I actually love them. Even more than the white borders. They just bring out the colors and images to make them all more visually appealing.So why four stars and not five? The unfortunate card stock. Comparing my two decks is like night and day. The white bordered cards are of first quality while the new set is thin and cardboardy with no real lamination and will not hold up for frequent use. This okay as I'm happy to have my quality set and will be spending many happy hours working through the book.

I've used this deck before with great enjoyment. But even more so in this set, packaged with a new guidebook.If you enjoy the King Arthur tales you will love this. The author's knowledge of the Arthurian myths is extensive.The cards are average sized and very easy to shuffle, with a slight glossy feel. I like the black borders and they are reversible. The artwork, like the guidebook, is highly intriguing and engaging. Soon enough you begin to feel you are being pulled into an otherworld.The guide book is quite thick and packed with an immense* amount of information. Very detailed, with countless spreads and exercises given at the back of the book which features the Halloquest course, in which you embark on a year-long journey with the deck. Fantastic! Not just for divination, but also pathwork, meditation and journaling. Very highly recommended.

I'm always a little scared of getting a pirated deck because it's hard to tell what's legit and what isn't on Amazon, so was grateful that this ended up being a link for the real deal.

I love medieval stories and King Arthur and the Roundtable stories are Amazing stories, so I purchased and I’m learning the ancient art of fortune telling, I bought the Nostradamus lost tarot and was intrigued by the ability to see into the future and read the stars and symbolism the cards unfold, they teach you how to read someone’s fortune or read your own fortune.

I live in Canada and I bought this from Kenny's Books in Ireland via Amazon.Not only did it ship in a timely manner (between the expected delivery dates), but it came in good condition.Kenny's had a fair price point versus other sellers, and after reading about the shop online I decided to go ahead and order from them - even if it meant a longer shipping time.I've wanted this set for some years, so I didn't mind waiting a little longer. Especially for this beautiful new purple edition.I've only had the set for a day now, but I'm devouring the book that comes with it. The Complete Arthurian Tarot is a must-have for lovers of all things Arthurian and Celtic, as it does go beyond the Arthurian mythos and touches upon Irish and Welsh mythology as well.The cards are beautiful and speak to me as well. The cardstock seems sturdy. I look forward to beginning the Hallowquest.

O baralho é lindo e penso que será um companheiro de estudo para uma vida inteira! O livro parece-me muito bom, com um curso de tarot para aprofundamento.A caixa veio com um amasso num canto e o acabamento das cartas poderia ser melhor, conforme se vê nas fotos. No entanto, recomendo este deck para quem queira e goste de estudar o tema e o próprio tarot em si.

très joli jeu pour les fans des légende arthuriennes avec un livret qui a l'air bien complet mais en anglais, par contre la qualité des cartes semble relative car le cartonnage est assez fin, si vous utilisez souvent ce jeu il risque de s'user rapidement, si c'est pour la collection pas de soucis

Esperava um baralho de tarô inspirado nas lendas arturianas, mas não é só isso, é um verdadeiro guia para jornadas místicas e espirituais enraizadas na cultura e espiritualidade celta.Os arcanos maiores retratam figuras e cenas das lendas arturianas e galesas como Merlin, a Dama do Lago e Guinevere. As cartas da corte retratam personalidades importantes da mitologia galesa e as cartas numeradas representam paisagens da Inglaterra (ou Logres) a terra sagrada que precisa de cura, pois este é o objetivo de Artur ao buscar o Santo Graal, curar o Logres, restabelecendo o equilíbrio do homem com terra sagrada.O livro é repleto de meditações e vivências, que utilizam as cartas como guias. Muito bom!

This deck is stunning. Some of the images are very unique, so that I cannot immediately recognise them as relating to their corresponding cards in other tarots such as the Rider-Waite and tarots based on it. And yet they are certainly a structured tarot. The images, like the Celtic myths and stories on which they are based, pull no punches, and so resonate powerfully through the unconscious to the very soul.I bought this deck to get to know the Arthurian legends a bit better, but I find that as part of the quest I am gaining more and more insight about the nature of the tarot, and of myself.
