Q: Does it remove residual build-up? You can see white deodorant on the armpits of my son's shirts even after I wash them.

Yes, it removes all residue. Spray on garment and gently use a toothbrush to spread the Deo-Go and wash garment. Works really well on sweaters also. Wonderful stuff!

Q: Does this work on dark stained arm pits?

It worked great on some dark stains for me. I sprayed a generous amount on the stains, balled up the shirts so the wet part was inside the balled up shirt where it wasn't in contact with the air so it wouldn't dry out quickly and let soak overnight. Washed and checked them again before drying. The stains were better but still showed so instead of putting them in the dryer I spayed them again and let them soak a few more hours, washed again and they finally looked good. These stains had built up over years on denim shirts and the stains were brown. I thought I'd finally have to throw them away. It wasn't as easy as spray and wash but with a little extra effort as explained I saved the shirts.

Q: The sweat stain is on a white mattress, which means I can't wash it afterward. Is this going to work or am I going to ruin the mattress?

Deo-Go works great on deodorant stains. I don't know about sweat stains. I will say it has a strong odor, so if you can't wash something the smell might bother you.

Q: Is it worth it if I use it it on a light green shirt?

It may take multiple washings, depending on how much buildup there is, but I have done this on light shirts of several colors, including green and it has done a great job. Pricey, but has saved a lot of shirts for me.
