PlayaPup Dog Sun Visor, Purple Haze Tuga, Large

When I opened the package I noticed I ordered the xx small instead of just x small. The hat did not fit my dog and due to the price it was not worth sending back. In looking at the hat it is well made. I was quite impressed with the construction and the feel of the material. It was exactly as pictured. The one thing I noticed, and the reason I didn't order another one, is the way it stays on the dogs head. This hat was not overly small on my dog I just didn't like the way it looked. I do think it would look better in a bigger size. I own a Chihuahua and she hated the way the ear holes fit on her. She is extremely sensitive when people touch her ears and I think that may be an issue. I noticed in customer comments that a few people added an extra strap. Yes, I agree that would make the fit of the hat much better.

Definitely well made, and looked as expected. Shipping was fast, about 2-3 days. My dog weighs about 20 or so pounds but she does have very slim features. She is highly sensitive to sun and heat so she needs hats, sunscreen and shoes to go hiking or walks while the sun is out. The visor came in flat so at first the fit was somewhat awkward. I bent the visor to curve it, and the fit was a lot better after that. Still a little loose fitting but I think that might be because of her slim features. I order a small. I will be keeping the small hat for my other dog that has less slim features and may order the x-small for my dog that I originally got this for.

I got this for my pup that has Cushings and is limited hair on her head to protect from sun. It matches the rash guard/UVA protection shirt I got her, which I liked. Unfortunately, the hat does not stay on very well and the velcro grabs the hair she does have left and pulls it when taking off the hat. I have gotten other hats for her that have a pull string that stays on all day and doesn't not pull at her hair when taking off. If they would change to pull string I think the hat would work much better for dogs in need.

I bought this for my doxi to go kayaking & it is so cute. the minute it arrived he wanted to put it on. He knew it was his even before I took it out of the envelope. He loves the hat & when ever we go out now he wants to wear it.The funny part is when we are done from what ever activity we are doing he knows it & then takes it off. It is too funny!Anyway when choosing a size also measure the place across behind the ears as the measurements across the head is not the same so I had to return the first on & order the next size which fits perfectuly.The hat keeps the sun out of his eyes & keeps the head cool when they are out in the hot sun. They have such little brains that can get hot quickly.. Thank you for inventing such a great & cute item.

I bought this visor to give some sun protection for my dog when she rides on my SUP board. She already wears a floatation vest so I wanted something for her head. After having her wear it every day for a few minutes, she got accustomed to it and wore it the entire time on the water and when she swam to shore. I felt better about her having head, eyes & partial snout coverage. The cute factor is just a plus. The visor stays on but slips back only because I think she's in between sizes. Only wish the under strap was thicker like how it's shown online.

Having read another review about the fit not working so well for big heads, I was a little worried that it would not work for my pit bull. The visor arrived on time and in perfect condition. I immediately tried it on her and it fit great but as the other reviewer stated the bottom strap left the scratchy part of the Velcro exposed and in contact with her neck. I fixed this by applying the soft part of a Velcro strip that I had here at home (any soft material would likely work such as fleece, etc.) to the exposed scratchy Velcro. It was simple fix and is working great! The sizing guide ensured that the hat fits great (the review shows I purchased a small but I actually got a large ~ she is over 70 lbs), it stays on and looks so cute!!

I've had hats for my dogs before, but they didn't say on. This hat worked great. We took her to the beeach in Michigan and she had her little visor and the matching Playapup Sun Protective/Lightweight Dog Shirt, and everyone on the beach just hought she was the cutest. Well, she was, but more important, she was protected from the sun and the visor did help shade her eyes, which was my goal. Sheis going blind and I wanted to make sure she was well protected and was able to have fun with us. She did and so did we.

I got XS but it could be slightly small for my mini-husky so I had to order Small.When I measure my dog's forhead,I was not sure about I should measure from inside ear to inside ear,or from outside ear to outside ear.Measurement picture did not mention about it,this is the reason I put 4 stars. So you just wanna measure it right! so I think I should have measured from outside ear to outside ear. Overall,I like this product,my dog does not mind wearing this,she sleeps with wearing this visor.

Hat may fit other dogs better but my Retriever/Rough Collie cross can't wear it. The hat is basically flat so any dog with a rounded head may have difficulties keeping it on as I found it pulled her ears into an uncomfortable position which had nothing to do with the size of the hat.

This hat is great. My sharpei has little ears so it was very hard to find a cap that fit and stayed on. He needs to shade his eyes and this is perfect

Great little hat to protect my dogs from the sun when they are in the pool and they do not mind wearing it. Great job Playa up.

Nice hat, the chin strap can be a bit wider to enforce the Velcro attachment. Is it going to protect your dog from the sun? I doubt it. But it looks great on my boy.

Fit perfectly and she seems to like it...looks cute..
