Panacea Grayline 40702 Extendable Helper Shelf, White

A picture is worth a thousand words, so I won't describe it so much as point out its shortcomings, niggling though they may be. As the review title says, it's a shelf and it holds stuff, so mission accomplished there. It's bent wire, so it's not like precision engineered or anything, and thus there is a bit of a wobble, but put stuff on it and it helps (with the wobble). And the extension, as best I can figure out, hooks over a crossbar and is supposed to nestle underneath inside the lengthwise rails to create one, unified shelf. Except it's a bit of a struggle to get it to nestle, since it's not that much smaller than the top rails, so that bends things for more unevenness and, yes, wobble. I just ended up putting the extension aside. But fret not, people with wider cabinets than me, because I think if you used it toward its maximum length, as pictured, I bet it would work a lot better, with less to nestle.Anyway, my vitamin shelf is that much more organized, thanks to this serviceable shelf. Oh yeah, smaller vitamin bottles can tip due to the crossbars being so widely spaced.

Okay, this is not a "designer" product. It is low cost, and fully functional. I have it on my kitchen counter, and it holds two lucite containers below it, and two on top of it, that I keep full of various nuts, or pumpkin seeds. It is not an eyesore, nor a pleasure to look at. However a well organized counter is a pleasure to look at. I have 3 more in a cabinet to make a layer across for bowls and plates, and it works great for that too. It is sturdy and it works. It's certainly worth the money, and I'd buy it again. What more can I say?

I just received my shelves yesterday and was pleased to be able to organize a cabinet in our bathroom where I had stuff piled on top of other stuff. These shelves are sturdy, nicely coated in plastic, no sharp edges, etc. plus you can adjust them to fit the width of the space you are putting them in. I plan to buy more soon for other spaces. It makes me feel good to be organized!

The dimension is wrong. It's 8.5" deep, not 8". I'm going to return them all.
