I was initially under the impression that this soundbar only required USB... but it also requires an audio stereo output port. While the attached cable is relatively short, there is an included extension as well as a USB-C converter. The sound from my laptop was significantly improved, both in volume and richness when using this device. There is a single control which is a simple rotary volume control knob. It goes from silent to much louder than expected. The soundbar lights up with a solid set of varied colour LEDS, and it does not seem to be configurable. As always, there is an almost useless text insert that is too small to actually read.While I was not expecting much, I was pleasantly surprised. This is functional and reasonably attractive, and it can set at a height below the bottom edge of a monitor. I am rating it four stars as it does all that is needed and it is better than expected. As always, your mileage and preferences may vary...

I have tried this speaker on three devices. On my Windows-based laptop, it works just fine. It helps having a USP port next to an Audio Out jack. On my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (aka 'The Phablet') it works as long as the USB plug in in another power source since the audio jack doesn't provide enough power. In both cases, the sound was good. The volume is really dependent on the device volume, and not the volume control on the speaker.I also tried it on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+, but it doesn't have an audio jack, so I tried just through the USB, but my tablet wouldn't recognize it.It makes a good desk speaker for a laptop and it is small enough to be easily transportable. I think if it had bluetooth capability, it would have been even more useful.

These compact speakers are working as designed, ideal for laptop or personal computer. My kids like the light effect, it specially goes well with his gaming PC. There is light off button if you want to turn off the light. There is a dial to turn up/down the sound but no mute button.

This computer speaker bar is quite impressive considering the slim compact size. Testing this with classical music where many instruments and note ranges are sounding and was very impressed. Although there is no tone control typical of any type of computer speaker, the balance of treble and bass built in is exceptional.Even at the highest volume it does not appear to display any distortion. An adapter that fit my android phone was also included. It surely has enhanced listening to music on my computer.

I was excited to try this out, and ultimately disappointed once I got it and used it. For one thing, it refused to work on my Windows PC despite numerous efforts. Docked a star for that. It worked without issue on my Linux PC so I then proceeded to test the sound quality. It sounded ok, just ok. There's absolutely no bass from the soundbar, and I was incredibly disappointed. The only real thing it has going for it is the lighting, but I feel that a speaker should focus more on sound quality than lighting effects, so I docked another star. Honestly, unless the speakers are improved in future models, you should look elsewhere for a compact soundbar for your PC.

If you are looking for a good-sounding speaker set for general use or gaming, this may be the one for you. While you can't expect booming bass from a small, under monitor, style speaker it surprises you with its quality. If you are an RGB lighting aficionado, this category will delight you, with lighting around the speakers as well as the central region. Easily plugs into your device with a regular audio plug, but can also be used with either USB B/A or C-type plugs. You get a full package for a low cost with this system.

I liked that it has a hardwired split USB-A and aux cable so you don't have to connect multiple cables. My wiring is bad enough already with all the monitors and accessories for my computer.The lights look nice how they change colors, but I agree with another reviewer that they do not look as nice as the pictures in the description. It is easy to adjust the volume with the knob on top and there is a switch on the back for turning the lights on and off.Overall, these are good budget speakers that won't take up too much room on your desk.
