I think the taste is good (orange) on these very efficient glusose gel packs. They are far superior to the chalky, hard to chew glucose tablets, which have only 4 g glucose as opposed to the 15 g of glucose in these. I have found similar products in drugstores with different flavors at a much higher price than Amazon gives us! They averaged about $3-4 dollars per unit as opposed to the $2 we are paying for this product. They work better than tablets, with a good shelf life. Highly recommend this product.

These are so much better than glucose tablets! They taste better, are easier to use, and have 15mg of carbs as opposed to 8mg per tablet. They seem to work faster, too! I was very skeptical, but I reallly like these much better than the too hard to bite into tablets!

If your sugars low and you need some quick emergency glucose, this stuff if pretty good. It’s easy to open and the gel is easy to ingest. You’ll find that the tablets aren’t the easiest to ingest and the little shots aren’t the easiest to open sometimes. Other gels are also tricky to open and ingest sometimes. So far, I’d find this one to be the best in an emergency situation,

Update: I’m going to have to change my 5 star rating after a year of using this product. the flavor of the orange has been changed and it’s horrible. It wasn’t the best in the first place but it was tolerable. Now it’s so bad I’m having to choke it down. Please please go back to the original orange flavor, it’s got some added vanilla flavor in it now and it just ruins it!These are life changing. I’m not a diabetic. But I do have frequent bouts of hypoglycemia. Scares me to death. I would constantly have to have on me a bottle of orange juice or Gatorade just in case of a low. After finding these and trusting them to work. They work so much faster than juice. And they don’t take up much space, easy to use. The taste isn’t the greatest but whatever I’m not using it for the taste, it’s not meant to be candy. I hope this company never stops making these. This product has made a huge difference in my life. This product works exactly as it says, it’s not too sweet it goes down quite easily. It’s very very good.

Do NOT buy if you will be using this weekly or daily. It has an ingredient called sodium benzoate, a preservative that has been proved and known to cause SEVERE gastrointestinal problems, allergic reactions, skin reactions, asthma attacks, and health disorders that affect the central nervous system.As a type 1 diabetic who works out almost every day, I used this weekly for blood sugar control for a couple of weeks. I ended up in the hospital three times in two weeks for hypoglycemia because my stomach and intestinal walls were destroyed because of this additive (because the glucose was not absorbing). Please DO NOT use if you value your health. Instead, I recommend a brand called HÜMA that has both chia energy gels and glucose gel.
