Can you use this in desserts? Is there any salt in this?

This is all natural & no salt! It's fine in desserts! I've used it both in a sweet mirror glaze & a vanilla cake without the flavour being effected! Be aware whilst this colour is fantastic when introduced to a wet medium, it isn't idea when used for colouring something dry; eg icing sugar for dusting as it turns out somewhat brownish! This colour is incredibly potent & will stain porous items & light plastics! Take care!

Could this be used for Indian recipes?

Yes. I use it in my chicken tikka recipe.
