Not sure if they work, but they arrived in sketchy packaging... it was kinda weird

I was struggling to find a homeopathic remedy that worked for me for mild allergic reactions and skin inflammations. I have used this multiple times already and it has worked almost every time!

Homeopathic medicines like this are popular in Europe, but largely unknown here in America. This is a good quality "histaminum hydrochloricum," used to treat allergies and it seems to be effective. I'm using it to help treat seasonal allergies in my dogs, simply because IN MY OPINION, homeopathic medicines are much gentler on the body than typical allopathic medicines (pharmaceutical prescriptions) and over-the-counter antihistamines (like Benadryl, Claritin, etc.).It helps to understand a little about homeopathy before you venture into self-treatment, but there are, fortunately, a number of very accessible books available from Amazon that can teach you more. In a nutshell, homeopathy is based on older medical theory that supposedly beckons back to time of Paracelsus. One of the most ardent "modern" developers of this medical approach was Dr. Samuel Hahnemann (Wikipedia for more). The very basic theory is that "like cures like," so, as in this remedy, allergies (an excess production of histamine) are treated by introducing a small, fractionated amount of histamine into the system to allow the immune system to acclimate and alleviate the allergies.In short, my dogs say this works! No more itching, scratching, or foot-chewing. I give our large white lab 5 of these pellets (they're basically tiny sugar pills) in a dab of cream cheese, twice a day. In about a week, I can reduce the dose, then discontinue when she stops itching. Effective remedy; wonderful price!-----Have a question about this remedy or this topic? These little pills work quite well for allergy attacks. The dispenser is a bit odd, but workable.

Seems to really help my cats who have allergies. I didn't notice any difference in my own allergies, thus 4 stars instead of 5. But, I'm not as limited in the types of medications I can take as cats are, so it's not as important for this to work for me ;) Seems to help them with environmental allergies, both itching and snuffly nose, when the antihistamine they get isn't quite enough.
